My review of Hard Rock Hotel

The Hard Rock was a fun hotel to stay in. It is a great place for 20 somethings- we met some friends at a bar and enjoyed the rooftop pool and lounge with firepits. The design was modern without risking comfort and the location was perfect for our travel needs. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we loved the bathroom products and heavenly shower! The only part of the stay we were disappointed in was the high rate for parking at the valet- only hotel.

Great Place to Stay!

Wonderful and fun. Checkout however was a bit slow. Apparently the acct was not set up properly initially. But, I would definitely stay again as it was very convenient to the gaslight and directly across from the convention ctr.

Great Location, Great Staff

The location could not have been better. I was attending an event at the San Diego Conference Center and this was an ideal location. The front desk staff were all terrific and the conciege services were very helpful when I asked them to help me fill my ice cream snack attack one afternoon. The room was small but very clean and the ambience of the room and entire hotel lives up to its Rock and Roll roots. When I arrived in my room for the first time, they had the TV on and playing rock music and showing highlights of the San Diego location and other Hard Rock locations. The music was great throughout the hotel if you like rock and roll from the 70's throughout the 90's. I would recommend anyone who is going to an event at the San Diego Convention Center and looking for a contemporary, trendy, hip and first rate hotel to stay here.

Very Modern, Hip Hotel

The Hard Rock Hotel, was very comfortable, the room was small, but very clean. The bed was amazing, however we heard noise from the street into our room. The staff was very attentive. Besides, there you can find two great bars you can go to and the concierge will be very helpful if you want to go anywhere else. The Hotel is more for young people looking to have a good time. I will definitley visit this hotel again.

Hip but friendly

This hotel is very chic. The staff bent over backward for me. The shower was wonderful, there was turndown service nightly (without reqesting it) and the bed was comfortable. 42 plasma screen in all rooms! It is walking distance to the entire gaslamp district. My conference was right across the street at the Convention Center. I had no complaints about the entire stay. I was even there over a weekend, and I did not notice noise from the club (despite my room being on the 5th floor-one story up from the Moonstone Lounge) A Great Stay!

Balanced business and pleasure opportunity

The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego provided excellent and convenient guest services and location to attend business related activities in the San Diego Convention Center, but also after closing of those business days it was fun to be in a lively, upbeat, trendy yet not intimidating, place to be treated like Rock Star.

Hard Rock hotel Rocks on!

We stayed in a suite as hard rock was celebrating its first year in San Diego. The hotel staff while young were respectful and funny. They take service seriously. If you want a get away or have a romantic getaway please go!. If you are a business traveler it is not the best for desk space as you sit in a uncomfortable stool. Don't despair the hotel is wireless and they have a comfortable business center. I would give Hard Rock in San Diego,Ca. a 4.5 out of 5 in all categories that you care about and a 5 out 5 for their food in the hotel resturants. I plan on going back next year!
