Hotel Hard Rock sucks
Hotel Hard Rock San Diego is a very good location and close to shopping and restaurants. However, our experience was not very good. We had to wait 45-50 minutes to valet park our car. The check in line was long and at the 4:00 pm check in time they didn't have all the service stations open. They gave us the worst room they could find which was right next to the elevator. We could here the music from the night club unit it closed. When we were ready to check out we had to wait 1 hour to get our car from the valet people. The valet guy told us that he would take care of the $30 valet charge and the next day the charge was on our credit card. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone or stay there again.

Hard Rock Stay
The bed corners aren't properly padded, which resulted in a cut. Next morning after Valentine's Day the hotel's water heater broke and we were left with no hot water all morning. Called numerous times to the receptionist and she told us it would be resolved in 20 minutes every time! Was not impressed with the room and the hotel is pretty noisy. The hotel had a great location though.

The Worst Cust. Service I have EVER seen
I was checked in by [...] who did not disclose to me that after a certain time in the evening apparently they set up a age checkpoint at the door. My daughter and her boyfriend who is 21 were not allowed access to their room after we had checked in previously during the day. I was horrified that I had to go down to the hotel at 12:30am to pick up my 18 year old daughter who was forced to remain out side on the street in Downtown San Diego at this time of the morning. After arriving at the hotel I was told by [...] that they would TRY to refund my money through you guys if not the would send me a check. I was extremely upset that they would do this to my family and will NEVER stay there as long as I live and I am going to try to sue them for discrimination.

The Worst Hotel in San Diego
Checking in was nice. We came back to the hotel that night and weren't allowed into our room because I was not 21. My boyfrind however was. I was pushed by a manager. I was verbally and physically assaulted by their staff. They refused a refund. Apologetic, but absolutely no compensation. The managers were awful. I recommend this hotel to absolutely NO ONE.

Horrible Customer Service
Horrible concierge service where you are put on VIP or some sort of guest list for bar/restaurant/night club and when you get to the so-called bar/restaurant/night club you are made to stand in a long line and have to pay cover of $20/person although you are spending a lot of money staying at the rooms in their hotel and the so-called bar/restaurant/nite club are in their hotel! Hotel only appears to be interested in money and not service for the money you are spending! Avoid this hotel if you want to get your money's worth!

IT SUCKED!
The front entrance to the hotel is directly infront of the new padres stadium...so on game day, you have to wait 45 mins in traffic to get to the vallet! The room was nice, but it right near the elevator and very noisy. When we asked for a different room, they said we would have to pay more! FOR THE SAME ROOM?? COME ON! The pool was so small that 5 people fill it up! On Sunday, the "REHAB" party takes up the whole pool area, so unless you're a 20 something yearold stripper or frat boy, the pool is off limits! Then, after the party is over, they close the pool at 8 so you can't use it anyway! All in all, very pretty hotel, but not a place I would ever recomend to anyone!

i wouldnt stay here again
I did NOT like my stay here.... overly priced.. waaay to many hidden fees. come on 250 deposit a night??? i mean you get your money back after check out but if your not prepared for that as I was it is a problem. Parking is a pain from the begining valet parking that cost 32 a day, plus to park and to get your car the wait is way too long and does get annoying.

It would have been nice if when you call for information on all fees, that the hotel informs you instead of saying there arent any! It would have also been nice if we could have used the pool! and than still charging us for it upon checkout! the omni hotel should get the credit! they were nicer to us and we didnt even stay there!

Family Getaway, not so much.
We spent Friday and Saturday at the pool which is not for kids even though they allow children. We do not recommend ever taking your kids to the Hard Rock. Now if you are into the xxx scene then this is the place for you. NOT FOR KIDS. Extremely unfriendly staff again this could be because we had our son with us. Watch out for the added charges to the room that they do not disclose upfront.

This was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. First night was woke at 2 AM by 5 mins of insistant knocking at my door by bellhop, insisting he had the toothpaste I ordered. Did not order! Second night the whole party scene from the club in the lobby moved to my floor and continued all night long. 50 loud obnoxious "kids"-screaming drunk, knocking on doors-yelling. When I called the desk-the security "boys" they sent joined in the party. Needless to say-I checked out a day early and spent last night at Embassy suites.
