Excellent service
I was staying at tbhis hotel with my kids during spring break..WOW..the front desk customer service was outstanding, we checked in at 12midnight and the person in the front desk was very courtious when we wanted to get another room closer to the pool. He found one for us without any questions. Their complimentary breakfast was just amazing...so many varities of items, and staff just kept on filling them up. I would def stay ther again and recommend anyone that wants stay at an excellent hotel with excellent service and have all the amenties they need. Everything (Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, Airport, Old town San Diego, the beaches, and many other attractions were 10 to 15 mins away...my kids and wife loved this hotel!!! they can't wait to come back again!!

Great stay!
My family and I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites while visiting San Diego. Although it may not be an ideal location for families to walk around outside of the hotel....strip club, motel next door with motel parties, a few bums loittering down the street.... Redeeming qualities: tthe location is great, distance is close to all local attraction. Hotel is very well kept and the hot breakfast was decent. Will definitely stay here the next time we visit San Diego.

You can walk to the arena from here
Parking here seems like it could be troublesome, but we were able to find a spot quickly when we checked in around 3:30. The room was quite big, though we only had a king size bed. If it were a double room I think it still would be spacious enough judging by the extra space we had. The staff was quite friendly & happy to answer any question asked of them. We stayed here to see Roger Waters The Wall Live at the Valley View Casino Center down the street. It took us probably 10 minutes to walk there.

Denny's is right outside the hotel, as well as a Mexican restaurant. If you like either of those, you're set.

Great Hotel, questionable location
This is your typical Hampton Inn Hotel. The location itself is in a rough neighborhood. There are three adult stores within walking distance from the hotel, which some may feel makes it difficult location with children. It's close to Sea World, to the beach, and the airport. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel and room were nice. Staff was great. It's not too far from downtown. Only problem was getting to the parking lot entrance. The busy freeway exit and lack of traffic signals made it difficult to get into the parking lot.
