Not going back

From day one the hotel didn't live up to other Embassy Suites. We love to stay at Embassy Suites normally. We arrived at 11:30 PM. I called at 5PM to notify the front desk we would be arriving late and they thanked me for the call. When we arrived they said they had given our room away and all they had left was a room with two double beds. The beds were very out dated and uncomfortable and need to be replaced. I asked to change rooms the following day since we requested a king bed in the reservation. We switched rooms but again all they had were two double beds and in this room the AC did not work. To say it was warm all night would be an understatement. Lastly, we came back to the room after a long lunch and our view was obstructed by a tarp on the window and loud pounding as they did construction, painted and cleaned the windows. Very disappointed in this location.

Holiday get together

I have stayed here before and know Embassy suites to be a great place, but this time I was not told that there was construction going on. Despite that we decided to make a go of it. Well the construction stressed every part of the stay. Had trouble with elevators, housekeeping and even maintenance. Because of the holiday I did not get anyone to get back with me, but finally when I did, the problems were taken care satisfactorily. Will try again after construction complete.

Birthday Getaway

My husband surprised me with a San Diego get away for my birthday. He chose the Embassy Suites because he uses this hotel when traveling for business. The amenities are awesome and the rooms are always clean and maintained. The location was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We took a sightseeing cruise and dined at Ruth's Chris Steak House which were both within walking distance. Had an awesome stay!

Dissapointed

Sadly was not to impressed with the hotel. Very outdated and it would of been helpful if they have noted they were under construction.

Renovating

I think it is great that you are renovating but it would have been great if I knew that before I booked my trip. I think the hotel is in a great location & if it wasn't for all the noise & dust from the work being done, this would have been a great experience! I would not recommend anyone staying there while the work is being done. Can't wait to see what it looks like when complete though!

Great stay

The only problem I had was pulling up to the door and finding out upon arrival that PARKING was an additional $39.00 per day??? The front desk did make up for this un foreseen issue by upgrading my suite whit a AWESOME corner suite on the top floor which was great, the hotel also had a wonderful comp breakfast each day, every evening a reception with full bar and tapas, the hotel also has it's on Dunking Doughnuts and a BR 31 flavors. Overall a great experience.

Only Stayed One Night

The hotel was easy to find, but the only public parking was on the street. It's not a bad area by any means, but it was not a place I was comfortable to park overnight and all the next day. So I used valet. They did not tell me (on the site or in person) that the valet charge was $39 a NIGHT! Holy Cats! That is ridiculous! But they almost made it feel like you didn't have another option. That was shocking and disappointing! The room I received seem to be a handicapped room, it was roomy, though a bit worn in places. There was some marred facing on the bathroom cabinets, The bed was clean and comfy. The AC seemed to go on and off frequently so sometimes it woke me up! Overall, it is a good location, breakfast was decent and the property was nice.
