The setting was unique. The staff were very helpful in a variety of ways. Breakfast was a lovely way to begin each day, complete with a menu and a choice of breakfast entrees. The price seemed high when I booked, but turned out to be a real value, a vacation that I will remember not only for the things that I saw, but for the place that I stayed.

Excellent Authentic Inn
The Britt Scripps has set a new standard of lodging for me. the accommodations were superb, and the Inn was authentically Victorian floor to ceiling. Everything was tastefully done yet functional. Bathrooms were spotless and equipped with up-to-date fixtures, showers, etc. Linens were crisp and clean; towels were plush and fluffy. The garden area was beautiful and quiet, and a perfect get-away from the rest of the world. Breakfast was fantastic! Scones were "to die for" and served with fresh fruit and real whipped cream. Granola was home-ade and served with yogurt and fresh fruit. I had an omelet the following morning, and it was delicious - served with yummy fried potatoes. The service was great, and all staff members were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this lodging to anyone who visits the San Diego area.

Personal Luxury Service unmatched...
Luxury accomodations adjacent to Balboa Park and a block from three first class eaterys. Go to the website and believe what you read...19th Century elegance, unmatched luxury, personal service...no better than this anywhere. Quiet, sophisticated, and unpretentious.
