Unique hotel; great ambiance
The Best Western Hacienda Hotel is built into the hillside of Old Town. It is far enough from any highways to be very quiet. You can see the airport from the hotel, but the path for the planes landing and taking off does not come near the hotel, so there is no noise from planes. This hotel is big, but spread out so that it doesn't seem big like the tall hotels with one floor over the other reaching up to the sky. It is has a very quaint feel and the lighting creates a great ambiance at night. The hotel is well-built, but could use a little updating of carpet and decor in the rooms. The lobby with the fireplace is very nice and it was great to be able to have free access to several computers there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking can be somewhat of an issue if you don't feel you should have to pay for it, but there is a large parking lot right across the street from the lobby and we were able to find a spot most of the time. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and we plan on staying here again.

You have to go to the Old Town Mexican Cafe for authentic Mexican Food. The ladies make the tortillas in front of the window for all to see. This restaurant was featured on the food channel and is very popular, so come early or you may have to wait in line even though there is plenty of seating. The Cosmopolitan is also highly recommended and is a short walk from the hotel also.

Great Place
What we love about this place is that the staff is always friendly . The rooms are clean and you can't beat the location in Old Town . We arrived early and were allowed to check in early The view at night is awesome . We are going to return soon to San Diego.. This is we're we will stay .

great hotel in a great area....right on old town san diego....doesnt get any better. Acapulco restaurant is excellent. Friendly staff and very clean.....enjoyed the heated pool. The price was a little high, but not terribly. The only detail was the lack of enough power outlets....but really, I recommend this place. Location is everything.

Great Experience
Old Town charm with lots of amenities. The room was perfect. Our only issue was that the pool was on one end and we were on the other.

We were pleasantly surprised at the location and amenities at this hotel. I originally booked it due to the fact that we were picking up dogs at the airport and needed a pet friendly hotel.My wife and I have discused returning to the same hotel another time.

Awesome location!
Great hotel, professional staff, clean rooms, and perfect location (right in the middle of oldtown). Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only small con is the pool is a little small and nit enough seats, this is not enough to keep us away though.

It is incredible that such a hotel impose to the cuistomer a mandatory fee of 7,00$ for 2 bottles of water and coffee. This is not announced in the initial price. This in addition to the 12 $ parling makes it a 170 $ hotel room + taxes instead of a 150 $ announced. This is not a fair practice! Hughes - Pasadena
