an enjoyable california vacation
Hotel was very nice. The grounds were pretty with pots of plants and beautiful flowers and well maintained. The location in old town was convenient for choices in dining and public transportation. we had an awesome view from our room at the 600 building at the top of the hill. We would recommend hotel, it is a great choice for anyone who does not care to rent a car.

The hotel was a great location with really nifty rooms. The beds were firm but not too firm. Plenty of soft pillows for two people.

almost perfect
great hotel in a great area....right on old town san diego....doesnt get any better. Acapulco restaurant is excellent. Friendly staff and very clean.....enjoyed the heated pool. The price was a little high, but not terribly. The only detail was the lack of enough power outlets....but really, I recommend this place. Location is everything.

Fabulous!
The Hacienda is right on the fringe of Old Town which makes it ideal for shopping and walking through the historic district. We didn't have time to truly partake of the hotel's amenities nor its proximity to the trolley system - hope to do so on our next visit

Great Experience
Old Town charm with lots of amenities. The room was perfect. Our only issue was that the pool was on one end and we were on the other.

Wonderful layout, watch for hidden fees
I was in building 6 at the top of the facility. The facilty is a wonderful multi-layered set of buildings with very nice courtyards. The room really needs a refresh, it shows its age in most every way. Clean but worn. We loved sitting out looking over the skyline. Easy to get in and out of SD and a stroll to Old Town. The objections that I have are for the mandatory $7 for water bottles and the $12 parking which was undersized. I have a Honda Fit, and it just barely made it into parking spot #26 which was the last one left. The FIT is a very small car, none of my other cars would have made it. Perhaps they have higher end rooms that have been remodeled.

We were pleasantly surprised at the location and amenities at this hotel. I originally booked it due to the fact that we were picking up dogs at the airport and needed a pet friendly hotel.My wife and I have discused returning to the same hotel another time.
