The location was really close to seaworld...about a 10 minute drive. Its close to the interstate...but we couldn't hear it from our room. The staff was friendly. I got a call a few minutes after being in the room from the boss to make sure everything was satisfactory. The beds were comfortable. And breakfast was awesome. So many different things to choose from; waffles, cereal, donuts, toast, eggs, potatoes, breakfast burritos, coffee, juice and milk. The staff member in the breakfast area was very helpful and made sure you were taken care off and had everything you needed. The owner of the hotel came down during breakfast and talked with us and asked how are stay was. This hotel should definitely be rated higher then it is. Our stay was awesome.

Conveniently located
We were visiting our son and his family (mom, dad, & 2 young boys) who live in a small house nine-tenths of a mile from this Best Western. It was a convenient place to spend the night because our son's house is too small to put us up overnight. The motel's included breakfasts were good, and free Wi-Fi was helpful. But we spent the days with our family and didn't spend a lot of time at the motel. Weather was too cool to use the outdoor pool.

Weekend stay
Overall very good, except during our stay the telephone was down all weekend, breakfast is above average, lots of stuff.

Big Ern
Perfect Getaway
Whenever we go to San Diego we always stay here. The rooms are clean, staff friendly, parking is free, breakfast is free, and perfect location. It is easy to get in and out and central to everything you may want to see. No this is not a five star hotel but perfect for a family on a budget.

I stayed at the hotel on a one day business trip in the La Jolla area and it was very convenient and provided great value for the amenities. The breakfast buffet makes it worth it during the winter rates.

Heaven in a mini-vacation

Staff was extremely and accommodating, room was spotless, breakfast was great and extra kudos to the young lady who helped me get my breakfast out the door. I would love to return again soon. I love that such a wonderful place is right across the street from my equally wonderful church!

Friendly, comfortable, great value
The staff was very friendly. They went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and had all I needed every day for my travels. The staff was upbeat and positive..... and a much better price than their competition!

Best Western in San Diego
You walk in the room and it looks good tell you get to the bathroom, turned the lights on and noticed all kinds of little bugs all over the floor. The staff was very helpfull.

Pretty decent
It was pretty decent and clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend improving the breakfast (included) to include healthier food and also not to use disposable dishes, which is an enormous waste and not appetizing.
