Very loud
Between the constant banging from nearby construction and conversations heard through the super thin walls, my experience at this hotel was a very loud one.

Hotel Guest is wrong, apparently?
Hotel is in a very accessible area of Midtown Sacramento, which is great. Hotel itself is a bit uninviting. I arrived and walked to my room on the third floor, and the door was open to the public, and the bed was not made. At that point it was past 4PM. The room reeked of cigarettes, and when I called the manager to inquire about the smell of the room, she told me that I booked a smoking room. To which I looked over the [...]agreement, and no where did it state or request a smoking room, the contract did indicate that I did request a non smoking room. The manager was nice enough to move us to a new room, which a two double instead of one queen. The room itself was clean but the bathroom was very moldy. I would never stay at this Quality Inn again. Sorry Sacramento, but I'll take my bets with the Clarion Hotel around the corner.

unbeatable location for the price
I presented a paper at the Society of American Archaeologists meeting at the Convention Center. The hotel room was adequate although the local parties were pretty tough on Friday and Saturday nights. They were nearly next door. I thought that I had asked for a non-smoking room but did not get one. Unable to change rooms because this hotel was highly sought after by other participants in the conference. Otherwise this was as perfect a location as I could have found without paying $179.00 per night. Personnel was fantastic especially the office attendant that greeted me three of the five nights that I was there.

not all that
I stayed there because of a snow storm in my town that would make it hard to get to work the following morning. I was shocked that I had to pay an additional $10 to up grade to a non-smoking room. It was posted that I asked for a smoking room. I do not smoke. I believe I was be smoked by this hotel or this first impression on this website. I have stayed in some really nice priced range hotels. This in comparison was abit out dated. I would not stay there again. After paying the additional fee, I would have been better to pay an additional $10 to $20 more for a better place. It was surrounded by alleys. It was not a safe place for a single female.

Good location for the price
Went out downtown that night and needed a close by hotel. It was a pretty nice hotel for the price we paid for booking it so last minute.

price and location
This is a very noisy place. It was had to sleep with all the trash pick-ups at 4 am and again at 7 to 8 AM. The way the building is designed, noise echos badly. The new light bulbs are so bad, I felt like we were in the dark. It was within walking distance to our destination and we did not spend much time in the room. They have improved the breakfast. Not too many maids spoke English.

Ok for the price
The hotel was what you expect for the price. Not too shabby, although the bathroom could use some updating. The breakfast in the morning was a nice perk.
