Hotel Excellent, reservation was dishonest!
The description of the hotel was embellished and dishonest. The reservation was said to be for a room with two king beds but the hotel doesn't have rooms like that. The reservation also said breakfast was included, but that wasn't true either. The reservation ALSO said the room had an oversized tub and spacious shower, but the tub/shower was standard-sized. The hotel comped us for our breakfast meals, but it required manager approval. Very frustrating that the reservation made through this site was so misleading and distorted. We will never use this site again!

Exemplary Business Stay
All around amazingly strong staff that was prompt, friendly and helpful. Room was in great condition and all in-room services (dining, wifi, etc) were easy to use and without issue. It's located very conveniently in downtown with access to Capitol and a multitude of restuarants. Great stay and great hotel.

Short overnight stop in Sacramento
We didn't check in till nearly 1 AM so were unable to order room service till breakfast time, but the Front Desk had wonderful (free) apples for us. Also, the staff were fantastic. Our room was large and comfortable with a really nice (and clean) bathroom. Our only real complaint would be having to pay $9.95 extra for WiFi (which wasn't as good as some free WiFi we've had). Overall though, I would really continue to use this as an overnight when flying in to Sacramento late at night. The breakfast from room service was hot and delicious! The only other caveat for first timers here is, know that Sacramento has a weird one-way street pattern and you may need a GPS to find the way to the front of the hotel!

Perfect Location for California Int'l Marathon
I stayed here to participate in the California International Marathon and it was great - just steps from the finish line (which happens to be in front of the Capitol). Other pluses: a Starbucks just to the right of the hotel that opens @ 4 A.M., hotel parking garage (pay for parking at front desk upon check-out), Convention Center across the street, and the hotel offered a runner's pasta buffet the night before for $20. There are places within walking distance for last minute shopping: 7-11, a deli, CVS Pharmacy, etc. This hotel is also good for family & friends because the race goes past the front of the Hyatt on L Street. There is a movie theatre behind, if they get bored with your night-before-race preparations! Old Sacramento is a few minutes away by car. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. I had a lot of questions at check-in and they were really helpful and I didn't feel rushed. This is a big hotel so expect some traffic at the elevators. It's also older (evidenced in the hallways & bathroom# but updated pretty well. The room had a big flat-screen t.v. and decent furniture. It wasn't as clean as I expected #found a cork in room, wrapper in bathroom, make up smudge on bathroom floor, etc.) but hopefully it's not the norm. I would stay here again if I had business in Sacramento.

Nice weekend getaway without leaving town
Loved most everything about our stay but the $25 Valet parking was a bit high considering that there are better deals nearby for 24hr parking. Other than that it was a nice weekend getaway even though we live in Sacramento. We will return again!

Great location, solid price
Stayed here for one night while in town for Launch Music Festival. It was a block and a half from the show, lots of restaurants open late literally downstairs, and across the street from the Capitol. Starbucks attached to the hotel, and a pretty nice pool. Pleased with my choice.

Disappointed
For the first 3 hours, it sounded as if someone was repairing the adjoining room's A/C unit. Then, while laying on the bed, I heard a guest in the adjoin room (suite) urinating and flushing. I couldn't believe it.

Ryan and Ruperta at the front desk were absolutley amazing, especially Ryan. The room was very clean except I found an old used cough drop on the night stand - pretty gross and I know it was an old used cough drop - it smelled like one and was sticky. Breakfast room service was very professional as usual and delicious. However, they need to bring back the whole-grain pancakes - I was really looking forward to that but oh well. Location is perfect - near everything.

good service
Enjoyable stay, good service, fine food. Should make WiFi and Business Center complimentary, especially for frequent guests. Paying exorbitant amount for a few minutes of computer time is off-putting

Pleasant stay
Enjoyed my stay at Hyatt. Location is great for convention center and Capitol building. Had dinner at Dawsons. Food was very tasty. Staff was great. Had buffet breakfast onsite but can't remember the name. Both my associate and I were were very happy with the quality and freshness of the food. Room was clean and quiet. Only negative was I could hear the doors of other rooms in the hallway close. That was kind of loud. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.
