Not bad...

Our stay would have been better if there wasn't a bachelorette party that stayed on our floor as they did not respect the noise policy and was very noisy in the hallway.

NOt totally impressed

This room was booked by me for my mom and daughter. My daughter was there for a very important competition. They we supposed to have a lovey view of the pool and two beds. They overlooked the parking garage, and were told if they had one bed and if they wanted another they may have a roll away. In addition to that, the coffee maker wasn't easy to find, tucked away in a cupboard and they didn't get their early morning wake up call. it was crucial they bed up by 5:30 and out of the hotel by 6 and no wake up call. Fortunately they woke up in time anyway. I understand the staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. We travel often enough for these competitions, so have stayed in many nice Hotels. This hotel unfortunately is not on the top of our list for places to stay in the future. For the amount of money spent in the room there should have been a little something more.

Easy, comfortable stay, but parking situation could be better

Hotel is located at the heart of capital so normally parking is going to be a little tricky, but this Hyatt has a parking structure readily available for its guest. The only thing about this parking structure is how/where it is located. It is located technically on the 2nd floor, which means....You park your car then take the parking elevator (or stairs) to second level of parking structure...then walk to hotel's 2nd floor elevator (or stairs) and then take that down to the 1st floor main guest lobby for check-in, then ultimately taking the 1st floor elevator (or stairs) to your room. Basically, it's a little too many elevator rides. Definitely seems like an "after-thought" with regards to design or circulation. Then again, the elevators are pretty quick. You can avoid all this with $20 valet service though. Overall, had a good stay though and got plenty of exercise with the stairs

Cafeteria 15L has delicious food and an awesome atmosphere, both inside and out. It's located just East of the hotel's location.

Hotel Excellent, reservation was dishonest!

The description of the hotel was embellished and dishonest. The reservation was said to be for a room with two king beds but the hotel doesn't have rooms like that. The reservation also said breakfast was included, but that wasn't true either. The reservation ALSO said the room had an oversized tub and spacious shower, but the tub/shower was standard-sized. The hotel comped us for our breakfast meals, but it required manager approval. Very frustrating that the reservation made through this site was so misleading and distorted. We will never use this site again!

Exemplary Business Stay

All around amazingly strong staff that was prompt, friendly and helpful. Room was in great condition and all in-room services (dining, wifi, etc) were easy to use and without issue. It's located very conveniently in downtown with access to Capitol and a multitude of restuarants. Great stay and great hotel.

Short overnight stop in Sacramento

We didn't check in till nearly 1 AM so were unable to order room service till breakfast time, but the Front Desk had wonderful (free) apples for us. Also, the staff were fantastic. Our room was large and comfortable with a really nice (and clean) bathroom. Our only real complaint would be having to pay $9.95 extra for WiFi (which wasn't as good as some free WiFi we've had). Overall though, I would really continue to use this as an overnight when flying in to Sacramento late at night. The breakfast from room service was hot and delicious! The only other caveat for first timers here is, know that Sacramento has a weird one-way street pattern and you may need a GPS to find the way to the front of the hotel!

Perfect Location for California Int'l Marathon

I stayed here to participate in the California International Marathon and it was great - just steps from the finish line (which happens to be in front of the Capitol). Other pluses: a Starbucks just to the right of the hotel that opens @ 4 A.M., hotel parking garage (pay for parking at front desk upon check-out), Convention Center across the street, and the hotel offered a runner's pasta buffet the night before for $20. There are places within walking distance for last minute shopping: 7-11, a deli, CVS Pharmacy, etc. This hotel is also good for family & friends because the race goes past the front of the Hyatt on L Street. There is a movie theatre behind, if they get bored with your night-before-race preparations! Old Sacramento is a few minutes away by car. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. I had a lot of questions at check-in and they were really helpful and I didn't feel rushed. This is a big hotel so expect some traffic at the elevators. It's also older (evidenced in the hallways & bathroom# but updated pretty well. The room had a big flat-screen t.v. and decent furniture. It wasn't as clean as I expected #found a cork in room, wrapper in bathroom, make up smudge on bathroom floor, etc.) but hopefully it's not the norm. I would stay here again if I had business in Sacramento.

Nice weekend getaway without leaving town

Loved most everything about our stay but the $25 Valet parking was a bit high considering that there are better deals nearby for 24hr parking. Other than that it was a nice weekend getaway even though we live in Sacramento. We will return again!

Great location, solid price

Stayed here for one night while in town for Launch Music Festival. It was a block and a half from the show, lots of restaurants open late literally downstairs, and across the street from the Capitol. Starbucks attached to the hotel, and a pretty nice pool. Pleased with my choice.

Disappointed

For the first 3 hours, it sounded as if someone was repairing the adjoining room's A/C unit. Then, while laying on the bed, I heard a guest in the adjoin room (suite) urinating and flushing. I couldn't believe it.
