It was just what it claims to be as a 2 star hotel and overall it met my needs. My room happened to be on the freeway side so if you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a room off the freeway.

One Night Stay
I arrived at about 7:45 pm, the office was open a a smiling face was there to greet me. The clerk processed my reservation and I was on my way in 5 minutes. When i tried to turn on the lamp by the bed nothing happened. For some reason the lamp was unplugged. A minor inconvenience, but an unnessary one. The hotel is in a light industrial area so I had to drive 5 or 6 blocks to find a restaurant, but the clerk in the office gave good directions.

Very nice room for a vrey nice price.
The room was very good. Neat clean and well stocked, comfy bed, very professional staff and extremely easy to get to. I personally had the "fresh scent" they pump into the rooms, but other than that the room was fine.

Fair enough
For $65.00, I would've gotton better deal near that location during regular time of the year, but it was right before the new year's eve so I got unlucky. There are many other models and hotels near where I was staying. However, this hotel has better deal for the weekly stayed-in travelers for $174.99/wk. This is the first time for me that hotel charges the fee for internet access if wanted to use, but I declined to use it because I've got my blackberry and smartphone with me all time. If hotel would offer a free internet accesss, it could have been a lot better for travelers like me.

A reminder of the comforts of home.
This week I've had to stay in different areas in Sacramento; rather than driving after meetings, I chose to change hotels to be closer. Once I got to Extended Stay America; the name says it all. As soon as I walked into the room, it had a "home" feeling. When you're away from home, feeling "home-like" is relaxing. Unfortunately, there was one problem, the heater had stopped working. When I called to the front desk; he immediately came up to the room to see if it could be fixed. He went back downstairs, returned with a luggage cart and immediately put me into another room. Considering he had been off of work for at least 20-minutes; I was completely impressed that he continued to work with me to fix the situation. My original plan was to check out the next day to move closer to my next area of Sacramento. Instead, I felt so comfortable, relaxed and rested at Extended Stay America; I chose to stay another two days. Since I have to use Wi-Fi on a daily basis. Most hotels/motels have a daily charge for Wi-Fi usage. When I booked my second day, I called down to the front desk to give my credit card for Wi-Fi for the remaining days. I was very impressed to hear this was a one-time fee for the entire stay here at the hotel. The staff has been a blessing. I have a slight injury that causes me to use extra towels for ice. Without question, the staff was so accommodating. When the staff found out about my injury (approximately the same time I changed rooms), they were kind enough to move me closer to the elevator. Hopefully there's an Extended Stay America in every city I end up in... I have found a new favorite hotel... And yes, there are still smoking room available. This may not mean a lot to you, but after a stressful day; being in a room which is comfortable and relaxing is very important. As well as my choice not the hotels. I appreciate the hotel giving me the choice.

There's a fairly large mall within a very short distance. I found it a wonderful way to blow some steam from a hard day. (I also blew a hard days earnings)... But well worth it!

Room for improvements
Requested non-smoking and received smoking room. Staff tried to be professional and helpful but infrastructure support for success lacking (in training and management.) Room facing south is quite noisy, even with windows and door closed. Otherwise, room is clean, well supplied and adequate.
