Extended Stay America-Sacramento-Northgate

The location works for me...not too far from the airport and where I need to go twice a year. I like that it has a kitchenette and laundary. However, this time the water pressure was too low and the toilet didn't work. I switched rooms, but had the same issue.

Terrible! I was supposed to stay in Sac for two nights and ended up checking out early to stay at a different hotel. It is definitely a low-budget hotel, you get what you pay for! I got in late from my flight and already the hotel area seemed a little sketchy. All night, I could hear someone walking around in the room above me. The walls are very thin and I could hear the neighbors talking. My room was a non-smoking room, but it was evident that someone had smoked in there. There was a cigarette burn on the comforter and it smelt like smoke. I could clearly hear outside noise. And then, a lady knocked on my door at 7:30 AM! However, the AM guy at the front desk was helpful and nice to me although I was canceling my second night there. He went ahead and approved a refund back even though it was usually against their policy to do so.

Hotel had full kitchen with pots pans and plates that was nice, but bed was soooooo squeaky and hard. If you sit or roll over the whole bed squeaks so loud. TV was about a 12 inch screen and elevators sounded like they were about to break off the line any second. But it was located around a lot of different fast foods and a breakfast place. And the pictures are kinda deceiving.

The pictures on the site was unrealistic, the actual experience was disappointing, because the room was listed with a Queen Size bed, but what we got was a Full. There was a burn hole in the lounge chair, and the wall lamp needed repair. There was no phone book in the room, and a writing pad, pen or pencil was not provided.

I checked in to the hotel at 9:00p.m., after waiting fot 10 minutes for the clerk. There was only one room available, next to a party. The party was noisy and had a banner over the rail at the thrid floor announcing the party. Not what I could sleep next to. I waited another 10 minutes in the lobby to see if I could change rooms. I got frusterated and left, without staying at the property. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car in the lot and frankly, I felt un-safe. I would like and appreciate it if there could be a refund. Considering my past experience with refunds and Orbitz, I do not see this as likely. Is there a possibility of adding some sort of category showing a hotel being in a high crime area?? Drug deals in the parking lot is not something I appreciate being exposed to. I had to book a room in another hotel as I had business at the Arco Arena for the 15th.

The housekeeping staff was extremely rude when asked to change the bed sheets upon finding hair in them. Later they were asked for extra blankets and were very rude as well. I do not recommend this hotel.
