The rooms were good for the price.
The hotel was right off the freeway. There were gas stations and a place to eat close by. Breakfast was ok I just wish the restaurant that was next door would have been open but it looks like it's been closed for awhile. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Great and cheap!
Went to see Kings play at the arena a few miles away. No need to pay twice as much at airport hotels. Front desk gave me a back room, so no highway noise. Air freshener strong when I first entered my room. tile floors need to be washed. My socks were filty on the bottoms--that's the only negative. Make sure you don't get placed above a room with dogs below!

Reasonable value close to SMF
I chose this hotel in order to be close to SMF so that we could get to the airport quickly for an early flight. The hotel allows for quick access to the freeway and is also close to the Old Sac tourist area in Sacramento. However, the actual neighborhood surrounding it is a bit shabby. The rooms are clean and reasonably appointed but rather small. There is a free breakfast that is adequate and free wi-fi, which make the place a pretty good value for a location in a major city. It's not a "destination" hotel, though. In comparison to other hotels I stayed in, I would have given it two, rather than three, stars.

Great value!
Very good experience overall. I stayed there for 3 nights, clean, comfortable king bed, good breakfast, the only thing that wasn't so perfect was the gardeners trimming the hedges, making noise with the aluminum ladders at 7 am! I guess It was bad timing...

Very nice stay.
When we arrived the first thing we noticed was that it was very clean. Second, the staff was very nice and friendly. In all our stay was awesome.

Joe's Crab Shack. The Shiz! The restaurant next to the motel... "Something BBQ" service was horrible. I wanted a to-go box and noone was to be found. We yelled "hello?" we even yelled it in the back room, come to find out they were all outside smoking. Food was good but I'm not too sure ill be there again.

Quiet, pleasant repose
A pleasant little place, out of the way; away from all the traffic and noise, but easy to get to and just minutes away from downtown. The staff was very professional, proactive, always smiling and helpful. I used the jacuzzi everyday!

For once! Totally surprised on the value. Got pushed out of town from convention overload and found this because of the good reviews. All True. Clean, nice and comfortable, not those ugly floral spreads but nice ones. Staff was helpful and friendly, was pleasant surprise the breakfast was included (nothing special, but if you're on the run, make a waffle), actually nice pool/spa. It's on the river with card access gate to the levy - super nice walk/run area along the river. I usually drop $250/night, but this was really nice! Good job guys... finally people that care.

The restaurant next to the place is Mexican food, but pretty bland. That is not to say the food was horrible because it was not. It was just too gringo-ish for my tastes.

My wife and I stayed four nights in "Sandman's" and we found their a very good equivalent value for our money. The Motel area and the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was a good continental one.
