Whirlwind business trip

I travelled to Sacramento for a job interview and stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The lovely women at the front desk even let me use their employee bathroom to change out of my interview clothes before I left for the airport. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel is very close to the Capitol building, walking distance. The hotel is next to the train that runs downtown, but the noise doesn't bother me. I would stay at those hotel again.

Easy parking, convenient location

Had a hard time finding it at first, since the street level is mostly just a covered parking lot and a small lobby; but the rooms (and pool) are all on the level above the parking lot. A bit surprising to step off the elevator and round the corner into a cool exterior breeze, but the open-air courtyard is actually pretty nice; likely moreso when the weather is nice enough to enjoy the pool. Being lifted off the street level also means the rooms have a bit more privacy. Continental breakfast was well-appointed (waffle irons, sausage and gravy with biscuits, etc). WiFi signal was a bit spotty at my room, but otherwise nice (comfortable bed, good shower, etc.)

Central to Everything

This hotel was central to many downtown Sacramento sights. From the Capitol building to the Sacramento Kings arena, the location was just steps away. There were some nice walkable restaurants as well. We liked the Old Town Sacramento area and waterfront was just minutes from this hotel too. The room was average and comfortable. We were given a room which was facing a busy, noisy steet with the electric train. This room was also over the parking garage entrance/exit and next to the big laundry room and ice machine/vendor area. Hmmm. I wonder if it was the lower rate through a travel site that we were awarded this fine location. Other than that, just what I expect from a Best Western.

family vacation

The hotel and staff were nice. We were on a family vacation and visited old town often. The walk was a bit to far. We advise to taxi back after dark. The breakfast was the best of the hotels we visited in california. A indoor pool would of been nice for the kids. Having a resturant next door was convenient.

Great place!!

This was a great place to stay. We actually stayed in San Francisco the night before, and I would much rather have stayed here than the hotel we stayed at the night before. The staff was great. Location was perfect because its walking distance to many restaurants and bars, and the room was so comfortable, spacious, and nice.
