Favorite place to visit
We have been staying at this hotel for years when in Palm Springs. It's an overall great hotel, but it can be a little crowded in the pool with kids at times.

Room
I had to call the 2nd night for a new remote. 3rd night I needed a new room. TV would not work. Engineer worked on it for an hour...twice. Very noisy neighbors and I should have called downstairs. It was ok but would not be my first choice to return. Housekeeping was wonderful but the rest of the staff was not very pleasant. Would have been nice to have been told about the lesbian event at the time of booking. Probably would have picked other dates.

Great Location
Staff was very friendly even though they wouldn't let us check in an hour early. The location is great, walking distance to the strip and very close to Sherman's, go there for breakfast!

The spa resort casino was good overall. The rooms are a bit dated and need some updating, but we enjoyed the pool area and its central location in Palm Springs. Didn't have time to check out the casino itself unfortunately!

Great weekend getaway
The hotel was a clean, affordable, and decent place to stay for short weekend getaways. Surprisingly, the casino and restaurants are actually not located where the hotel rooms are located - they are across the street in a newer construction. The amenities were nice and the spa was a good place to relax. The "Taking of the Waters" experience was a worthwhile experience. The buffet was pretty good, there was plenty of fun action in the casino, and you can't beat the location of the hotel to the center of downtown.

Don't partake in "Taking of the Waters"
It was our first time at the hotel and we paid $35 each to use the spa facility called "Taking of the Waters." It consists of a steam room, 2 saunas and individual tiled bathtubs with a curtain pulled for privacy. The steam and the saunas were fine, it was the poor customer service inside the "taking of the waters," i.e., individual mineral jacuzzi tubs. Since we were first-timers, the lady who signed us up, took our $, and escorted us to the spa door, said she marked a "1" on our paper receipt so that the spa assistants would know to go through all then services and explain them to us. There are two sides; one for men,one for women. The lack of service on both sides was the same. I went in and was asked my shoe size and given a robe, slippers, and a locker key. I had to actually ask which door was the locker room. When I came out, there was no one to instruct me what to do first, i.e. waters, sauna, etc., so I walked to the "waters" room. I asked the attendent what the sequence was and which should I do first. She didn't understand English very well and said "oh you want waters?" I said, if that is what I am supposed to do first... Again I asked what is the sequence? Again, she didn't understand English and pointed me toward the Sauna. So, I figured I was on my own, and went to the first sauna. After 10 minutes I came out and went to the second sauna. When I came out of the second sauna was when I noticed a small sign on each wall that said Phase 2 and Phase 3. Ah ha! I started with #2 and #3. Then I wondered where #1 was. Then I heard two woman talking between themselves and one woman said they should go to the steam room first! OK, so I followed them around the corner and found the steam room. Now I had completed 2,3,&1 #not in correct order, of course# so I knew the mineral jacuzzi tub had to be next. So back I went to the "waters" room and told the attendant I was ready. She walked me to one of the individual jacuzzi tubs that was already filled with water. She pushed the button and the jacuzzi began. She pulled the curtain around and was attempting to leave what I said "What do I do? All she said was if it is too hot, add cold water! I guess I expected a bit more service, like she would ask me to test the water...maybe make it cooler or hotter. Ask me if I needed a magazine or a cup of water? Nothing! I attempted to get into the tub and it was scalding hot. I jumped out and began to add cold water from the spout. I know the attendant heard me adding water but never came to check on me or offer any help. So once the water was cool enough to sit in I laid there for another 10 minutes or so and looked closely at the inground tiled tub I was in. The tile had to be 30 years old and some of the grout was missing it didn't look too clean. The two saunas and steam room were new and nice but this was obviously the original tub! My husband was led to his jacuzzi tub and left there but was never told he could add cold water. His tub was so unbarably hot that he could only stay in for a couple of minutes and had get out. So, between the lack of service, no orientation on the facility, the non English understanding attendant, and the very, very old tiled tub with questionable sanitation, it was not worth the $35.00.Or, for that matter, not worth any money!

Decent Little Place
The hotel was nice, clean, and conveniently located in downtown Palm Springs. The Spa is a great place to relax and the service was decent. The only inconvenience was that the casino and restaurants were located across the street - a bit misleading from the photos. The restaurants were fine and the buffet was affordable. All in all, the hotel was a decent little place to stay for a short weekend getaway.

Room service
The food aswesome for the price and staff were great. The only thing was that after I had spoke with room service personaly and said I didnt neeed anything until th next day, I ordered room service, and before I was finished with my meal they came into my "dont disturb" room and took my tray away. I had left the room for no more than 10 min. I thought the "do not disturb" sign was for exaclty that. No one is to go in room! Not to mention that I had no idea that any staff member could come and go in ones room whenever they wanted!
