Great location but not so great rooms

We found this room through the last Minute Deals on my phone when heading toward Palm Springs. The location is great..just a block from all the shops and restaurants in this part of Palm Springs. The entrance to the hotel and the property itself aren't bad, but the room was dark, somewhat old feeling and a bit vintage. There is nothing wrong with that, but the bed was an issue. When you sat on the mattress the end curled up and it sank in the middle when the two of us got in. We both woke up with back pain the next morning (we are 40 yrs old so that sometimes happens..but not much). The room was a "courtyard" view which meant we looked across a short yard and into the neighbors room. This place has the location going for it, and a certain charm, but they really need to update the beds at a minimum.

Good value, location.

Just steps from Palm Springs' great shops and restaurants, the Palm Mountain offers a great location at good value, with friendly staff and a welcoming pool flanked by ample lounge chairs. Our room was simple but clean, beds were comfortable, and daily housekeeping was efficient. Would certainly stay there again.

Great location

Great location! It's a cute place. Amenities are good too. The only think that was problematic is that they only have 2 guest passes for the fitness center/gym at the Spa Casino so if they are in use, you have to wait or pay the day fee. Also, they only give the gym passes out for an hour at a time.

fine hotel, very close to strolling in Palm Springs

Check-in was downright unfriendly, but adequate. Room was fine, with comfortable bed. Walls showed signs of having been repaired without much attention to detail. Something about the ambiance reflected poor workmanship. Still, the room was generally clean. The pool was located in a central courtyard and seemed reasonably well maintained. The hot tub was mostly clean, but had some particulate matter on the bottom. So, the hotel was fine but not great. The location, though, was excellent if you want to stroll around Palm Springs. Good restaurants were within easy walking distance.

great location!

Beautifully nestled at the foot of a mountain and with in walking distance to all shopping and dining, this was a perfect lactation! The staff was tremendous and I even left my charger in the room and they offered to send it right away! My only complaint was no gym facility....I rarely want to workout on a vacation but a nice joig on the treadmill is sometimes necessary and I was bummed to not have the option. They had passes for another local gym but they were 'out'when I went.
