Has everything we were looking for!
We enjoyed our stay at the Palm Canyons Resort, especially the pool area! One of the reasons why we booked it was for the pool and we were satisfied. The room and resort was a bit dated, but not really an issue. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that a kitchen would have and very spacious inside the rooms. My company and I enjoyed our stay, we just wished we would have stayed longer.

Life's A Trip
Really?
I was conflicted about booking Palm Canyon R & S because of the late (4pm) check in and early (10am) check out times. After searching a lot of properties that didn't meet my price range/location and amenities, I finally booked two nights at the Palm Canyon with my young adult daughter. When we arrived to check in...the woman at the front desk was not very friendly or welcoming. I asked her in advance if they would allow us to check out (remove our things from the room) at 10am and enjoy the pool until 12pm when we would leave the property. She said they couldn't allow that. I asked why and she replied that it would infringe on the pool use by their timeshare clients. Really? - I felt pretty dismissed. What difference would it make for us to use the pool for two hours when the room our replacement guests won't be coming in until 4pm? That was disappointing. We checked into the room and it was clean and comfortable...seemed to have very good sound proofing as the rooms on each side were occupied with families but we never heard them. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very roomy and had a jacuzzi tub. We had a kitchenette and it was adequately equipped but feel i should mention that it needed one non stick skillet and at least a small container of dish soap...small issues but it was annoying to try and cook eggs the first morning and not have non stick or any soap to clean up with. On our first day at the pool, I was very happy with the cleanliness of pool and jacuzzi. I sat in the jacuzzi in the grotto and it was great. There were a lot of staff in the pool area that stand around observing everyone for policy violations. They don'tt allow ANY outside food or drink at the pool. I felt like I was being watched which was sort of weird. Leaving unattended towels on a lounger is not allowed! Staff will place a printed warning notification on any loungers left alone too long. I'm not sure what else would they were watching for. There is a very convenient cabana style bar at poolside and I requested two Mimosa's. While the bartender was fixing them, I asked if she could put a splash of Chambord in each one and I would pay extra for that. She said yes but seemed hesitant. I wasn't sure why, so I asked her how much extra that would cost and she said - $7 each. I said, 'Are you serious?' and she said that she would have to charge for a whole additional drink if she put any amount in. Ok - scratch that - not paying $15 for a 6 ounce Mimosa with a splash of Chambord. So I got them without. I decided to order chips and salsa which she said would be delivered to us. That's nice! I told her where we were seated and she said it would be out in about 15 min. I go back to my seat and enjoy Mimosas with my daughter. Soon I see a wait staff coming out with a tray of something that might be chips and salsa. I wasn't sure and he walks past us to the two women standing a few feet behind us and hands them the food. They kept giggling and saying, 'Are these for us?' and he kept saying, 'Yes'. After this exchange went on for awhile, he finally says, 'You did order these didn't you?" The women are really laughing at this point and say, "No'. I finally get his attention and chips in hand (maybe minus a couple). Strange! Last but not least, we were preparing to check out on our last day and a male housekeeper opened our door without knocking, started to walk in but left after my daughter asked what he was doing. Perhaps he didn't speak english but he didn't even say a word...not even -Sorry- just went back out.. My daughter was really shocked about it. That was a big bummer. So to sum it up....maybe the timeshare clients are treated a little better here. I won't be coming back.

Dinner at Copley's in Palm Springs was amazing. We sat on the patio at sunset and had the most amazing service. The Ahi Tuna special was a perfect 10 for taste, presentation and freshness. Awesome experience and very professional wait staff. Loved it.

Good value.
We had a comfortable, good-sized two bedroom villa. Spent our mornings on the balcony that had a table, chairs and a lounge chair. Pool and hot tubs were great. Everything is well-maintained. Each of the four buildings has underground parking. A quick drive from downtown Palm Springs. I would stay there again.

Wasn't what I expected
When I had called to verify my room, they had said I might not be able to stay. Took a few moments for them on the phone to get me room. When I check in they were very nice. I found the room to crowded and half the lights didn't work. The bathroom wasnt properly cleaned. There was someone's hair on the shower walls. when waking up in the morning, I found a bill which was a room charge. They fixed the problem. One thing that made up for the problem was the pool. Nice place to relax.

Can't beat this price
Pool is smaller than the photos, but everything else was perfect. Comfortable rooms - good food - nice staff - and for the price ... Excellent! Will definitely stay again.
