Polynesian-themed hotel with mountain views in Palm Springs
Caliente Tropics Resort is all about fun, relaxation and comfort. The hotel is one of the finest remaining examples of the Tiki and Polynesian-themed Palm Springs hotels built in the 1960s, and has hosted celebrities such as Elvis and Frank Sinatra. Updated for the 21st century with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, Caliente Tropics Resort retains the zesty feel of a Tiki lounge, while extending luxury and convenience to guests. Nice one night stop
Palm Springs was more like a stop in our trip from San Diego to Las Vegas but we've been nicely surprised! Every Thursdays they close the main street and have a fair with local artisans and fresh fruits, dancers, musicians, jewels and so on. So we enjoyed the pool from the hotel and went there at night! The hotel was common, nothing to complain about, nothing outstanding either.. They never check if people respect the closing time for the pool though (obnoxious, drunk people until 1 or 2am...)

If you have a chance to have breakfast at Pinocchio's, please DO! It's a great place with very good coffee. Another nice place is a mexican restaurant on S Palm canyon st (Las Casuelas I think)

A good deal!
pros: nice pool and jacuzzi nice garden area for lounging clean and tidy rooms cons: -this hotel is off the main road so you hear the traffic in the rooms -the walls are thin, you can hear when the room next door uses water or if they are talking loud -no restaurant in bar in the hotel (although it looks like there is one in progress?) -no toilet paper in lobby bathroom! (they added it once i let them know) overall great place, its got cute decor, not too expensive but don't expect a quiet night of sleep

A/C was non-functional, no heat. Bed was horrible, No cold water in bathroom sink. Closet doors wouldn't close, they were hung up on the carpet. No soap in the shower. Pillows were bad. overall.....bad experience

Nice spot
The hotel was nice and clean, the guy at the front desk even gave us some cards to borrow. We had a nice time.

had a nice stay at caliente tropics resort. The rooms were clean and the pool and the jacouzi were great. Perfect deal for little money :)

First visit to Palm Springs
It was my first time at Palm Springs but I liked the location of the hotel because it central to everything. Pool was clean and for the most part fun. The room was cool when we got in and the staff was nice.

La Perlita is a family owned restaurant that serves great Mexican and Sea food. Very reasonably priced and just a few minute drive from the hotel.

Girls Getaway
It was really nice, huge room two queen beds with couches and multiple closets! it was definitely enough to fit all of our belongings! The location is great and for the price we paid it didnt get any better! Definitely recommend, except that in the description it says theres a restaurant on the property and there wasnt any, they closed it down =/ overall had a very nice time with my friend.
