Caliente Tropics Resort

I arrived after midnight and was welcomed by the nicest young man who quickly handled my reservation and had me in my room. I awoke the next morning to a beautiful pool oasis, that unfortuantely, I didn't have time to enjoy since I had an appointment in another city. I am plannign to return and enjoy the pool and outside lounge area!

This was a great find! Not only was the price incredibly reasonable, the room was great and the staff was awesome (thank you Maritza, Steve, Steven, and Sadie!!). The only downfall is that their bar and restaurant were not up and running yet but judging by everything else, once they are, this place will be even better. Can't wait to go back!!

A very good value friendly efficient staff I will be back

It was my first time at Palm Springs but I liked the location of the hotel because it central to everything. Pool was clean and for the most part fun. The room was cool when we got in and the staff was nice.

It was really nice, huge room two queen beds with couches and multiple closets! it was definitely enough to fit all of our belongings! The location is great and for the price we paid it didnt get any better! Definitely recommend, except that in the description it says theres a restaurant on the property and there wasnt any, they closed it down =/ overall had a very nice time with my friend.

I had only one night at the Caliente Tropics Resort so my experience may not reflect the whole truth. Pros: The room was clean and in ordered. It was located in a great location with restaurants near by. Nice view at night, especially, there were torches around the pool, which created an islandish vibe. Cons: Pillow sheets were not completely dry so there existed uncomfortable smell. No breakfast provided. (this is not really a con but could be a concern) No elevator, however, there are only two floor levels. My door handle was broken, so it was hard to enter or exit the room (this may be applied for this particular room only).

When I checked in I was greeted by a super friendly front desk employee, she was very helpful and gave me a free suite upgrade just because she could! My room was spotless, quiet, and cool. There seems to be a little renovation going on in some places but I think that the end result will be a super cool, fun, retro tiki motel with even more to offer. I recommend this for anyone looking for clean comfort on the cheap, with a little bit of classic Palm Springs vibe!

The rooms were updated and were great with the exception of the noisy a/c, which made it hard for me to sleep personally. I'd like a place with a quieter a/c, but otherwise we really liked the hotel. I wish they would ban smoking in the pool and common areas. Downsides were that around the pool it was messy from all the partying, but it's nice that you can bbq there on the lawn. I might have like a coffee shop, bar, or restaurant on site. Something more than free coffee for breakfast. That said, it's a pretty good deal for a cute hotel if you're into tiki stuff like I am.

Good: centrally located for Palm Springs attractions, room was clean, pool is nice, easy parking bad: carpet was smelly, reception staff could be more approachable It was my first overnight stay in Palm Springs. It was okay, but I would not stay again.
