Polynesian-themed hotel with mountain views in Palm Springs
Caliente Tropics Resort is all about fun, relaxation and comfort. The hotel is one of the finest remaining examples of the Tiki and Polynesian-themed Palm Springs hotels built in the 1960s, and has hosted celebrities such as Elvis and Frank Sinatra. Updated for the 21st century with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, Caliente Tropics Resort retains the zesty feel of a Tiki lounge, while extending luxury and convenience to guests. Nice, relaxing place!
Really a lovely resort hotel with a very friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool area. The rooms are clean, modern and very secure with all new hi tech locks. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The only criticism I would have would be the spotty, unreliable WIFI. They were very nice to let me use their hotel computer. Currently the restaurant and bar are under construction but some nice restaurants in the area.

Good staff excellant pool area, on Palm Canyon Dr. so close to everything, great value, needs restaurant. Would stay there again.

The tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinto is great. The Living Desert is a pleasant attraction, plan several hours

Very nice
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The location is to die for with a fantastic central pool and garden area! Sadly, the empty pool bar, steak house and breakfast area beg to be re-opened. This must have been THE place to be many years ago!

A good deal!
pros: nice pool and jacuzzi nice garden area for lounging clean and tidy rooms cons: -this hotel is off the main road so you hear the traffic in the rooms -the walls are thin, you can hear when the room next door uses water or if they are talking loud -no restaurant in bar in the hotel (although it looks like there is one in progress?) -no toilet paper in lobby bathroom! (they added it once i let them know) overall great place, its got cute decor, not too expensive but don't expect a quiet night of sleep

Tour De Palm Springs 2013
Nice place to stay while visiting Palm Springs. Close to downtown and easy access. Pleasant staff and nice big hot tub for relaxing after cycling.

Quick getaway
Room were very clean and beds comfy. Got upgraded to a suite without asking. Front desk was very nice and efficient. Was only minutes away from main strip and convention center. The only negative was pool was not heated and Hot tub could of been hotter.

QUICK STAY!
HAD A QUICK OVERNIGHT STAY HERE, BUT THIS IS MY IMPRESSION. THE HOTEL IS OLDER BUT UPDATED SOME. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, LIKED THE SINK OUTSIDE THE BATHROOM AND SHOWER AREA. LOVED THE TISSUE BOX (YOU WOULD JUST HAVE TO SEE IT!) EVENING AND MORNING STAFF VERY PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH AND THE HOTEL IS CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN PALM SPRINGS. AT THE RIGHT PRICE, ITS JUST GREAT!

Fine hotel - close to airport
Gentlemen that greeted us was very pleasant, the room was clean and bed was comfortable. No restaurant or bar available - ice machine didn't work on our floor. I would stay there again.
