Polynesian-themed hotel with mountain views in Palm Springs
Caliente Tropics Resort is all about fun, relaxation and comfort. The hotel is one of the finest remaining examples of the Tiki and Polynesian-themed Palm Springs hotels built in the 1960s, and has hosted celebrities such as Elvis and Frank Sinatra. Updated for the 21st century with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, Caliente Tropics Resort retains the zesty feel of a Tiki lounge, while extending luxury and convenience to guests. it was fine except there was no restaurant to take any breakfast, aqlso the swimming pool was very cold we couldn't use it.

Great Value for the money!`
Booked very last minute and was impressed with the great rate! Great value for the money. Hotel is in a very convenient area, and the room was clean. The hotel was recently rennovated, so it is is clean/fresh!

Caliente Tropics Great Deal
At $45.00 per night, this was a great deal. We only stayed one night so we did not use the pool or other public areas. The room was clean and comfortable for a motel. I sort of liked the sixties Sputnik converted to eighties Tiki/Hawaii motif. Location was great, near to downtown and all the golf courses.

love this place
very nice good deal. clean. big pool the rooms have just been redone. i would stay again. i hope the bar is open next time then it would be perfect.

Great Value, But May Be Slipping
We had stayed here once before and were very impressed with the value, pool, decor and service. This time they had spent a lot of money remodeling the lobby and bar (which is no longer open) which didn't seem finished (no outlet covers, shower curtains for doorways). Our room which impressed us on the last visit now showed some wear and tear . The pool is fantastic, but you'll have to beg for a towel. Biggest problem was the front desk which was always understaffed and people are waiting in line, sometimes after a lengthy drive, while the clerk takes lengthy phone reservations (who makes reservations by phone these days?)

It was good
I liked the place but everytime I would go to the pool everyone was seated there to watch me and no one was swimming. Everyone there is just waiting to see some skin, plus while there the Wifi was not working and it sucked because I brought my computer for nothing. Besides that everything else was good.
