Americas Best Value Inn

I called ahead to let the hotel know we would be late. When we arrived at about 1:30 am, the desk person was really friendly. However, we had booked a 2 bed room with a fridge. We received a one bed, no fridge, shabby room. Called our reservation agent and we were in the correct room in 20minutes. After that all was fine. Breakfast was muffins and coffee, juice. But there is a coffee place a few minutes away. Very convenient.

The room is what you expect for the price. The tv was horrible, it stayed on a green color and couldn't be adjusted. The fan in the bathroom stayed on. The continental breakfast is a nice touch.

I do not recommend this hotel. This hotel smells,it's dirty,poor customer service,and falling apart. I would never take my family there again.

The room was quite big and adequete. But we went there to go sunbathing and swimming. The pool was freezing cold. The lounge chairs were all broken. We couldn't lay out or use the pool. Maintenace men were working at the pool with machinerary and cement was flying everywhere plus the noise was so loud we had to finish our lunch inside.

We needed a hotel for one night just to have a place to sleep as we were traveling through to AZ. Our room was very clean, the beds were average, and the price was right for what we needed. We did not use the pool or other amenities. They offer a continental breakfast which was nice (yogurt, muffins, coffee, juice). Our only problem what that the first room they gave us, the door did not lock. We learned of this at 10:30pm when another hotel guest opened the door and tried to come into the room. Luckily the chain was on, so it only opened a few inches. My husband went immediately to the front desk and they moved us to another room upstairs since they didn't want to try and fix the lock at that late hour. It all ended up being ok, but it sure gave us a fright and adrenaline burst. I'm sure it was a rare event, but I'll always be checking the door for now on. Otherwise stay was great and we'd definitely recommend this hotel if you need a clean place to stay for a good price.

We stayed here because it was close to the palm springs century start. The room was so small. No closet, small tub and the bed was very uncomfortable. What really upset me was when we were leaving, we had a very small ice chest. While we were getting ice, the front desk said are u going to fill the whole chest? Like I said it was a small chest and we didn't take much ice. I will never stay here again!

The stay was kind of Okay. The room worth for the price. Mini fridge was not available in the room even though it was specified in the deal. Comforter in the bed was not clean & was teared.

It was good for the price but... 1. There was no microfridge in the room. Apparently not all rooms have the fridges, despite what is printed in the room description. 2. So much for "high speed internet". The internet service tagged off the Rivera Spa and Resort network and it was so slow, it was almost not worth the effort. 3. If you get one of the rooms in the back, beware the curtain is too short to block that early morning sun. Unfortunately the curtain can't be any longer, otherwise it would interfere with the big ac/heater unit in the wall. But all in all, what can you expect for $73. Maybe I should have gone to Motel 6. I would have had WIFI and not "high-speed interent".

After being given horrible directions, and driving back and forth up and down Palm Canyon Blvd, we finally found the place, only to be informed that no rooms were ready. THIS WAS AT 3:45, ALMOST 2 HOURS after the check in time. We went out and hit the strip, coming back at 7:45. The breakfast was atrocious. The location mediocre. I go to Palm Springs every year, but I will not be coming back to this place.

America's Best Value Inn has some catching up to do with the maintanence of the building. Our room had an older heating unit that could only be turned off by un-plugging it. The jacuzzi was out of order and, according to the staff, had been for some time. The location is what insprired us to stay there and it was convenient for our visit.
