- Amigo Bar
- There is the original old ranch-hand bar, the Amigo Room, which we have restored to its high/low glory and we have added an old ice cream truck- the Short Bus- as our poolside bar. The Trailer bar- an old caravan with graphics by the Date Farmers- will roll up to the Commune for events. Unlike typical Palm Springs bars, we emphasize quality micro-distilleries and fresh mixing ingredients like real, squeezed juices, infusions, and homemade syrups.
- King's Highway Restaurant
- We took the old Denny's restaurant on the property and unearthed a cool terrazzo floor, sandblasted the flagstone walls and recovered the booths in saddle leather. The food redefines roadside diner fare as part of an American peasant food tradition-rustic, direct, resourceful, sensuous, and social. The focus will be on fresh, organic, and local ingredients that expand the stereotypical view of Palm Springs to create a regional cuisine grounded in a sense of place. We understand that food is first and foremost a series of relationships not only in the eating but in the preparing and the sourcing. We believe that cooking should always be inspired but never pretentious and that food should be accessible but not ordinary. In feeling, we imagine this experience like the most amazing backyard barbeque you've ever been to.

Ace Hotel and Swim Club-Palm Springs
From the time we arrived we were treated well by the laid back and friendly staff. The room was clean and cool and ready when we arrived. The pool area is very well maintained and food and drink are available poolside. The grounds are extremely clean and well maintained, not easy in the desert. The place has a nice charm and vibe to it. The only thing we could say were on the negative end were the TV System-it had this hopeless tv guide menu and was a little wonky on the picture quality. Also at the pool area a house fed music system plays pretty much all day and into the early evening. If you want quiet by the pool time, you won't get it here! All in all though i would stay here again and recommend it to a friend. The location is great and within a short drive or bike ride away (bikes are free to rent and covered by a 20 dollar a day resort fee paid directly to the hotel) The pros far outweigh the cons here and it's a great spot for the buck!!

Don't let the humble appearance fool you,the restaurant at the hotel is very good...we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and a very refreshing lunch via room service...the entire menu is available through room service

Our family is in love with this spot
Could not have been happier, our family just fit right in to the action of the hotel. The staff all wore smiles which were contagious. While we were not the swinging singles we felt like we belonged. The King Lounge was the perfect room for our family of 4!

Spring Break
the swim club and set-up were unique. the main pool area should be better lit after dark and have a DJ to stay longer in the spring/ Summer time to keep and attract people to stay!

Vintage Place
Went with a group of couples. The best way to stay at this place is in a suite.. the regular rooms are ok.. but the room we were in had a ridiculous loud noise ALL NIGHT LONG and the tv remote was horrible.. after 20 times we were finally able to turn off the tv, change the channel and or turn down the volume. the floors were pretty dirty. but our room seem to be the only one that was that dirtty and difficult.. so make sure you speak up when you get there if there is any problems or you will be like us and not sleep at all. Besides that.. nice staff and decent prices on food... pools were fine.

I have been to this hotel before, however this stay was different.. And to anyone reading this, if anyone actually does read this, who wants a little more of a barometer on who is actually generating this review, I'm in my late 20's, progressive and am definitely behind my congressman's vote for comprehensive health care reform.Firstly, I really enjoy the mid century inspired design of the place and it's casual, relaxed overall ambiance. However, the hotel/pool/on-site restaurants were completely understaffed and as a result, the service was horrendous. For example, poolside drinks were served a realistic 15-20 minutes after ordering and the order came back wrong twice. The pool had between 50-60 guests with one waitress taking food and beverage orders. And to boot, my fiance bite down on a piece of metal in her potatoes and fractured a tooth.[...]

Tall Cool One
funky and clean
clean, hip room reasonable price. Used the hotel bikes that were included in the resort fee to ride all over town. Pool is very cool. Like the dog friendly atmosphere. Great breakfast and coffee in the hotel restaurant.

Mr. Boulevard
A delightful experience at the Ace Hotel
My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed a very pleasant overnight stay at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. We found the staff to be extremely courteous, the food at the cafe to be delicious, and the pool to be comfy and fun. The room was luxurious but low-key, the scenery was lovely, and the hotel is right around the corner from everything Palm Springs has to offer. A great choice for young people traveling in style but not on a huge budget.

Unique and Unusual hotel
The hotel had a fairly good location in Palm Springs. We got a lot of good tips for things to do from the bartender at the hotel. There was a nice work out room. We visited the Living Desert in Palm Desert which was wonderful and the Paseo shops. We saw the Palm Springs Follies show which was great! We want to go back. On Sunday we took tram up to 8000 feet in Palm Springs! Great experience.

Cool, hip, young, and friendly
Delightfully off-beat, cool place with spare yet well-appointed rooms, nice work-out facilities, with wet and dry sauna, beautiful pool area. Folks very friendly and helpful. Food is eclectic California and excellent. Very restful experience.
