Pacific Inn of Monterey

This was a little locally owned hotel and the service was great. They hadn't received our reservation, but since we had a printed version they worked it right out. And they gave us maps and circled some must see areas after asking about our family and what we enjoy. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and was well rounded. It was only a few minutes from Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Right down the street was a gas station with the cheapest gas we saw all weekend. Our only complaint was that the breakfast area was very small. Our whole family wasn't able to sit down at the same time. Overall it was great and we would stay again.

No flat screen TV. Too much furniture in room. Bathroom too small. Vending machines didn't work. Too far away from attractions.

The staff at the motel was great, but the motel needs some work. There was paint chipped pretty bad at the entrance to my room, a chair in the room was broken and the kleenex box only had two kleenex in it. The breakfast room is way too small, and for the price you could do much better with this. I paid $200 for my room! But, the front desk person was awesome--very kind and helpful! Also when I went in for change to get water from the vending machine, he just gave me some bottled water. The location isn't too bad, fairly convenient.

While the staff was on the ball and the location was good, the room was "old". The door locks were worn out and did not unlock without a lot of effort.

We stayed in Best Westerns throughout our trip and looked for one within our budget that was close to Carmel/Monterey area. We found this hotel affordable but not up to the standards of the others we'd stayed at. Breakfast room very cramped with too little seating for the guests; hotel room outdated, especially the bathroom; always had to ask for cups for the room, towels threadbare. Receptionist more into talking about herself than asking about our needs: The old maxim applied - you get what you pay for.

Highly recommend this hotel, will stay here now every time I come to Monterey. Thanks to Bill and his staff for an enjoyable stay.

The room is comfortable and clean, the staff is very nice, and the value is good. Besides, they offer breakfast.

I'm a local girl from PG and was visiting family and friends for the Holiday. The room was spacious, clean and near all area attractions. Will, the manager was very nice, accommodating and his willing personality made our stay very comfortable. I will definitely make this my home away from home when in the area instead of the other place down the street. Thanks Will!

Affordable alternative lodging for a visit to the Pebble Beach Concours d'elegance. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Once we entered it smelled of urine. After leaving the window open for some time it dissipated. However, the room was generally clean. The toilet seat was very loose and made sitting on it a challenge.
