There for Big Sur
Hard to find--but then everything is hard to find in Monterey. Mapquest got us to the wrong location--had to go ask the other Travelodge for directions. Once there, all went well. Clean, quiet, friendly. Couldn't get a late checkout after the marathon though, so had to pack up and leave early--4:00 am.

Nice for the Price!
I am a Scuba Diver who lives nearby in California, I frequently visit Monterey Bay for diving and Travel Lodge on Fremont has been very hospitable to me. They take care of all my needs, what ever they are like preferring a downstairs room to upstairs, thy listen. The beds are comfortable and the Pool is really nice!

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Point Lobos State Reserve. There is no other place quite like it. For just a few dollars you can drive in, park, and take long or short strolls with breathtaking land and seascapes. The pine and oak treas and "Old Man's Beard" growing everywhere is just magical!

nice room, comfortable, tidy
The hotel is located close to the airport, has some airport noise, but is strategically located close to main roads. The setting is nicely laid out, landscaped, has '60's architecture that is interesting without being odd. Room was clean, bed and chairs were comfortable. This was a good value.

Awesome
Short driving distance to Monterey Bay Aquarium. The cleaning staff needs to step it up with the rooms. I found a box of tomatoes in my room at check-in. Not good....

Passes the Price/Quality test
Nice sized room & nice furniture. I took points off for the pillows; they were too thick for me; I couldn't sleep. They gave me a thinner one, but it was hard. I spent no time there, except to sleep and bathe. If more time were spent, the noise of the freeway might have been unpleasant, especially if you opened the sliding door. Breakfast was adequate, but one thing was unforgivable: no hot chocolate!
