The hotel was a good place to sleep for one night which is what we did. It was expensive at $129 a night for a 2 star hotel. The hotel staff were totally awesome. I would stay here again because they were very nice and professional, including the housekeeping staff.

everything was fine except for the water pressure in the shower horrible couldn't shampoo my hair there no way to rinse my hair and also no grass area for our dog!! Also the sushi restaurant only open for dinner bummer we wanted lunch everyday lost a lot of business from us.

Good value for money
Good place to stop on way the Big Sur coast. However, best for overnight stay only, as motel is osolated.

One night stay
Great price for what we got! Room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was also nice. The location was good - just a few minutes drive to all attractions.

Very Ordinary
The only thing I was looking for was a heated pool. I booked this hotel because of that... but when we arrived, surprise! The pool was closed. Very disappointed especially when you're traveling with four children. The rest of the hotel, very ordinary... of course, I was not expecting nothing much.

inexpensive alternative to downtown digs
The motel-type accommodations were more than adequate & a great value. Staff was quite helpful. It's a quick drive or $2.50/way bus ride to all the local sites. The $45 shuttle service to/from SFO comes right to the door, if contacted ahead. Breakfast is ok & the fitness site less than great.

Historical sites in downtown Monterey, especially docent tours of Customs House & Constitution Hall. Matisse at the Monterey Museum of Art. The pedestrian walk along the harbor.
