Great staff, excellent value

great value
Room was clean and the gas fired fireplace made you feel at home.Being three blocks from hwy 1 made it nice also.

Great for Couples
The Del Monte Pines Motel was a comfortable, affordable room. For the size of the room and bed, and also having a fireplace in the room, I would recommend this motel to any couple. My wife and I loved staying at this hotel and are planning a trip again, earlier than expected, knowing where to stay now. This is a great getaway motel and can not wait to come back.

Excellent Location
The hotel was in an excellent location to other areas in Monterey that we were visiting. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area was convenient to shopping and dining. The room was adequate and spacious enough for three people to spend the night.

Great Stay for the Price!
Del Monte Pines was a good hotel for a low price. We loved the fireplace in our room and slept with it on the entire night! The location was right next to a very large shopping mall with plenty of options to dine and shop. Room was clean and quiet. The place was also very close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Make sure you take a map, however, because we got lost coming back to the hotel from that area... the streets get to be confusing at night!

Very quaint and pleasant place to stay
This place is on Munras Avenue, just off Hwy 1. For me, I was on business and this was a plus. Munras has a lot of hotels to choose from. Most are of this ones caliber. They are small, locally owned and all have a tidy and cozy appearance. None have an ocean view or fancy amenities. The Del Monte Mall is across the street for shopping and there is a park also. Down to the water would require a short drive or long walk (and it is a nice walk through historic Monterey). You can't go wrong with any of these Munras Avenue hotels and I've stayed at a few. This one had upgraded to granite tile bathrooms and fireplace.

Decent place to stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Beds were a little on the firm side for my comfort. Water pressure a bit low for a good shower. Great location adjacent to shopping center (right across the street).
