cheap motel in a good location
The Munrus motels are a lot nicer to stay in than the ones on N. Freemont, which have a ghetto feel.

Stayed a night at Comfort Inn Monterey By The Sea on the weekend of Pacific Grove lighthouse 5k event. Its location is the only plus. It is close to most popular spots. Room is okay comfortable and okay clean. At the night it is easily to hear people walk by or talk. Scramble eggs and sausages are soggy and do not feel they are fresh.

AC turns on and off
Lots of noise when AC turns on and runs. Dead silent when it turns off. How can you sleep?

Excellent value
A recent remodel, spacious and sparkling bathroom, comfortable beds, walls sufficiently thick that the bedlam next door penetrates only slightly; free breakfast featuring hard-boiled eggs, bagels, pastries, toast and jam, hot and cold cereals, juices, coffee and cocoa; a fitness room with the essentials - all these and more make this motel a standout in Monterey's Munras Avenue motel row. No, it's' not the Ritz. But for what the motel offers at the price, it's hard to beat. Staff are very accommodating as well. And one should mention the lovely, flower bedecked exterior. As the general perhaps should have said, "We shall return!".

Highway 1 is right up Munras Avenue. Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey and all of their attractions are a few minutes drive away.

Quiet, Tranquil Hotel
We loved the location of this hotel, close to the Pacific Highway but out of the hustle of Cannery Row. The room was clean, the staff was great, and the continental breakfast was just what we like. The only concern I had is that the bed was a little small and creaks every time someone moves in the middle of the night. All in all though, it was perfect price for what we needed.

Definitely a good deal
Conveniently located, could walk to the beach but close to the mall as well. Large selection at breakfast too.

it was worth the money.
We got there, requested a late check in, they accomidated with us. Got there, went to put stuff on the sink, it was a little broken. Took a shower, it was a tad bit small. Water pressure was beyond great! But the water smelt like sulfer a tad bit. Went to dinner, I don't recremend bull wackers. Went down to lovers point, my boyfriend puposed. Went back to the oom, went to sleep. Bed was way way comfy. Could use a few more pillows. Woke up next morning, breakfest was not all that great. Were about to check out, look around so we didn't forget anything, and I noticed a condom wrapper under the bed. But other then that, couldn't hear your neighbors, and it was overall nice.

Not bad, it does the job
Location was pretty great. Not far at all from Cannary Row, the Aquarium, and Fisherman's Warf. For the price, the hotel was good, but will not stay again since the bed was killer on my back.
