Casa Verde Inn

Overall, a good experience. When I told them I had a reservation, the receptionist did not have my information and wanted to charge me a different rate. He eventually told me that if there was a problem, he would let me know. He didn't bother me after that.

We went to monterey to see the aquarium. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds. There was hardly any room to walk around. The thermostat didn't work. We couldn't get the air conditioning to work. The heater was a wall heater. The bathroom was alright. Had some mold on tiles. The fan in the bathroom made a horrible sound like it was ready to blow up. The front window had a crack in it. The door was very hard to shut. Everyone had to slam the door to make close all the way. Now the good.... The room had quiet a few channels from comcast. So that was good. The room was good enough for us to sleep in and shower. The front of the hotel was beautiful. Very pretty flowers and very healthy bushes. The landscaping was wonderful. It was close to the aquarium, Denny's, an Italian dinner, and gas station. There was an adult store right across the street. Which was surprising to see. Lots of hotels all on the street.

The first room was really trashy and dingy looking. We asked her to change us to one that had a fridge and microwave and we had to pay 10$ more. The worst part was that we woke up with bed bug bites! Don't stay here!

Don't go to this hotel. For just a little bit more you can find a nice/decent hotel. I reserved a non-smoking room and didn't get it. There was no fan in the room to air the place out-only a wall heater. No exhaust fan in the bathroom either. The window was broken and didn't lock so anyone could have reached in and open our door at night. The bathroom had mold. There was trash under the bed left over when we got there. The sink was clogged. You do get what you pay for here. The outside looked nice and thats all. Don't go-there are other, nicer hotels near by.

FIRST OF ALL THE HOTEL TRY TO TELL US WE OWN MORE MONEY TO STAY THERE. SECOND THEIR WAS NO MICRWAVE AND REFAIRER IN THE ROOM LIKE IT SAID THEIR WOULD BE ALSO THE ROOMS WERE DIRTY THE TOLIET LEAK WATER THIS WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND. FOR THE MONEY I PAID FOR TWO ROOMS IT WAS NOT THE MONEY I PAID FOR I WILL NEVER SUGGEST THIS HOTEL OR MOTEL TO NO ONE AT ALL.

I am a single mature woman seeking to relocate, and expect a safe, clean room to get a good night sleep. I did. Hot bath. Warm room on a cold night. Thanks.

If you are financially strapped then that may be the only excuse to stay at this hotel. It is filthy and falling apart. All night long people were yelling and banging against the walls. The second night there were police everywhere. THINK VERY CLEARLY BEFORE RESERVING A ROOM HERE. ps: They have nice flowers outside the rooms.

Went to monerey to do some scuba diving. montel was nice for the price,lots of chanals on tv and good location close to resteronts ect.close to freeway.staff was frendly.parking great was able to back right to door to load and unload gear.

attended a down-town covention,drove short distance and walked about 15 min to the site via the beach!! only gripe was the wi-fi connection that i could not access

Casa Verde Inn is a very simple, quaint, garden inn. It's not a 5 star luxury resort, nor is it a roadside Motel. It has a specific place in description as an Inn, and it's just that. Check-in was very easy and simple. Each room has at least 1 or 2 FREE parking spaces, which was a great plus. How many times do you park your car right in front of your room's door.. The room was exactly what was needed for a quiet weekend getaway. There was a small table with two chairs by the window (great for coffee or a laptop), the bed was a very spacious King, there was a linen AND makeup table area around the corner from the bathroom. And the bathroom included a decent size stand up shower/tub. Television included Direct TV of over 100 or more channels, and phone service appeared to be free local calls. Just minutes away from Highway 1. Steps from multiple restaurants. And a very short 5 minute drive to Fisherman's Wharf. I couldn't have asked for more. Working in the hotel industry I don't put too much strain on places that do not require ranking. If you want Bellagio, go to Vegas. It you want St Regis, go to New York. If you want Four Seasons, go to Toronto. If you want to overpay go to the only two larger hotels in Monterey. However, if you want peaceful, good locale, and easy access, go to Casa Verde Inn.
