Nice place
I was there during a convention. The food and architecture was fantastic. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff responsive to my requests / needs. The only thing that sucked was the fact that they charge you $13 to get onto the net in an age when Motel-6 has free wireless. Other than that, consider me a satisfied guest!

Have horn, will travel
Good price, but odd hotel....
I am normally a fan of interesting architecture, but this Westin is pretty strange. Comprised of 5 interlinking circular towers, the lobby space was weird and each room had an odd layout. Comfy beds, but all in all felt a bit drab. Granted there was construction happening so maybe they are looking to improve it. Stay was fine, just not up to normal Westin quality. All in all though, price was right.

Very nice hotel
The hotel room was very well appointed and the staff was very cordial and nice. Sadly, the lobby was undergoing extensive renovations and the fountains were dry.

Value and View
Amenities were limited (e.g. complimentary bottled water daily) but beds were quite delicious. Only one problem arose and the reservation clerk handled it most effectively and courteously. Good location and value.

Short walk from hotel
The Bodega Louie over by Macy's was hip, quite delicious and delightful dining. Spicy pork chops, fried rice and eggs for breakfast under $10 could be had at Uncle John's, another short walk. YELP put us in touch with something really great at every intersection.

Nice place to stay for first time visit
The hotel has nice view and also I enjoyed the hotel services. Workers helped us where was important to go to see the L.A. The location was also good because it was near to the rail and buses to move around.

Ok Getaway...
The hotel was in a good location downtown. It was very close to the expressway, and with my GPS, it was easy to locate destinations from the area. The staff were very friendly, but the valet parking was expensive at $35 per night. There were no other options for parking at the hotel. Also, I would NOT recommend eating at Panda Express inside the hotel. The food was ATROCIOUS and the service was worse.

Macy's was close downtown, but there's not much in the downtown area. However, the citadel outlet was 15-20 minutes away. Melrose was about 15 mins away as well.

the ok,the bad, and the ugly
This hotel did not compare to previous trips. I do not think this was a 4 or 5 star hotel. I think the hotel is over rated. There was not internet accessibility in the room & the fee in the lobby was ridiclous $8.00/15 min. After requesting for a room changed I was denied. The room did not appear to have the best cleaniness. The size of the room was VERY small.

I Run LA
The hotel was great. When we first arrived, they checked up into a room that wasn't clean. But they quickly moved us to a clean room. The hotel was lovely. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Parking was too much money at the hotel. They wanted to charge $35 a day for parking. There are plenty of parking garages a few blocks away. If you dont mind walking I suggest you walk to another parking garage. We were able to go to Santa Monica, Universal Studios, and most other tourist attractions with ease. This trip was awesome. It was our anniversary trip and for two freshly graduated individuals the trip was at a great price. We will be going back next year.
