bait and switch
My assumption was that I was checking into a small budget boutique hotel. I was, but I was also checking into a hotel where that shares space with a hotel that just the body of a quest in its water cistern. Since I was there for only one night and needed a place to crash, I stayed without using the water or shower. I was super creeped out when I discovered that it was the same building as the hotel with the recent death. Full disclosure should be required before renting rooms here.

Worst hotel in My life!
This hotel Was The worst experience in My life!!..first The smell of urine in the bathroms was descusting!..The service Was next of poor!..and The worst,they have bedbugs!!..they bite me in The hand!! Was The worst hotel i ever stay on My life!!..think first,and sepend i little more!,you are going to regret if you Stay in this trash can...

good location
I have to say it is in the downtown of LA. But, the room is so small and it has no bathroom . Three common bathrooms in a floor. I am very disappointed about this.

Lucky find
I happened to get a room with it's own bathroom and that made all the difference. I have no idea what it's like to stay there and use the shower in the hallway. I was very comfortable at Stay, the staff was very nice, room clean, I could open the window, the room had cable tv, there was free breakfast every morning in common area. The only thing I'd wished it had was wifi in the room. Otherwise, for the price, it was a huge bargain. It has some cheerful details in decor which also add to positive experience. I'd stay there again way before any other budget place downtown.

Good location, good value for your money, clean.
It is colorful! My expectations where low since I just wanted a place to sleep so I could get up early to go to court on olive st. I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean with nice crisp clean sheets and fairly comfortable. The tv was not in front of the beds but on the side wall, so it made it a little uncomfortable to watch tv sideways, but did not tv much anyways. I stayed in a room with twin beds with a sink in the room. Toilet and shower are down the hallway. If you are a big person, I found the toilet room a bit small, luckily I am average-sized. The continental breakfast consisted of cereals, milk, orange juice, coffee. It was good enough for my 24 year old daughter and me. The staff was pleasant, polite and professional. I would stay here again, but would bring ear plugs to muffle the city's noises. Also bring shower shoes just to be on safe side when you shower. Overnight parking next to hotel is $20.00 dlls (I could not find this info on their website. )

Nothing great
Arrived and they did not have my room with private bath available. Instead, sent me to Cecile (next door) which was old and cheaper place but not sure if they would refund me the difference. On the 2nd night I checked into Stay and the TV had issues. They sent a mexican guy who spoke no English and had to use sign language to get it sorted. It's just a cheap stay with basic bed & bath. No air-conditioning or bottled water in the room.

The Staff was very helpful and pleasant my room was very clean. The hotel is cheap and affordable would stay at the Stay again when i return to LA
