Helpful staff, has what you need
The staff was helpful, friendly, and polite. Price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the nearby area. The business traveler essentials are all included: free wifi, business computer room, continental breakfast, gym access, iron and ironing board in the room, etc.

Woken Up at 6am By Garbage
Overall, the hotel is nice and it's location is nice. The problem is that we were woken up at 6am by the sounds of the garbage truck and this went on for about 2 hours. I still don't know where all that garbage could have come from.

Great downtown value
The O Hotel is a charming boutique a block and a half from the 7th Street METRO station, which connects to multiple subway and light rail lines. The decor is modern, with a welcoming fireplace in the bar/lobby area. The great transit access allowed us to enjoy all the parts of downtown that are within walking distance of the more expensive hotels like Westin. The immediate neighborhood is very safe and in an up and coming part of town. LA Live and Fig+7th are both within a 10 minute walk, so there is easy access to nightlife. The staff were very helpful in recommending things to do in downtown and helped us order cabs when we needed them.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
The Grand Central Market is a wonderful way to take in the many flavors of LA. We had two entrees for $10 at the China Cafe, a charming counter-top cafe in the heart of the market. The Market is a very enjoyable 30 minute walk from the hotel, or two subway stops away at the Civic Center Station.

Pros and Cons
It was a little bit of a style over substance kind of hotel. The location is great for parking, and proximity to the Staples Center. Also, the front desk workers are really friendly. I didn't love anything about the washroom, television and the continental breakfast, though tasty, was very limited.

O Hotel
The O Hotel is located in a great part of the downtown area of Los Angeles. It has a nice lounge area and is close to a lot of resturants and things to do in the downtown area. I loved the ambiance of the hotel and the staff was friendly. Although the rooms themselves were small, they have a nice modern decor. I particularly loved the shower head which was a nice touch distracting from the small, yet adequate, size of the shower stall. Additionally the continental breakfast which did not have a large variety of food did supply fresh squeezed juice, fruit, cereal/oatmeal and these wonderful fresh pastries. On the downside, the hotel does not have parking. There is a parking deck next door for about $12/day. Also upon arrival there was no staff available to help with your bags. Lastly you get hit with an extra $12/day service fee to use the hotels wifi, have your room stocked with bottled water and to use the hotels business section/computers. This fee I felt should be gratis. All in all this hotel was a decently place to stay while in La, if you are on a budget.
