Dooped
This hotel seemed to look very nice from the pictures, offer a prime location and the Hilton name. The hotel wasn't bad, I mean it was clean, comfy bed, but nothing extraordinary for almost $200 a night. I get it, its downtown, but I would have rather paid more for something exciting and extraordinary. Or perhaps pay less for something outside of dowtown.

Consistent in quality
I have not been back at Checkers for several years and found the hotel at same quality. Great location and food. Quiet and clean. They honored the $30 F&B credit which was very nice.

Checkers - Old Fashioned charm with up to date luxury
This is a first class hotel with all the charm of a small hotel. Everything was very nice, with the exception of the pool which was unacessable because top floor is being turned into a presidential suite. Also, dishes in the hall the whole time we were there. But other than that I'd stay again. The beds were very nicely appointed and there are lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

Great hotel, close to public transit, lots to do nearby. The bathroom was huge and super clean, there was plenty of closet space, and the beds were really comfortable.

Good value for money in 4 star
Great location, nice morning light looking at LA Public Library. Quiet. But, bath tub wouldn't switch to shower. Bathroom much colder than bedroom. Coffee for two total $17 because in-room coffee couldn't be made because we first couldn't get the coffee open, then opened it too much.

Great staff
Everyone on staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. I was disappointed that there was no microwave or refrig in the room. I felt the room service was very expensive for what we ordered, however, that could just be L.A.
