Custom Hotel, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel is a chic haven in Los Angeles that provides tastefully designed rooms and near LAX. cool,hip and modern hotel
Our stay at the Custom hotel was very comfortable. The place has very modern and ecclectic atmosphere which makes it appealing to the younger crowd. The room has a minimalist approach, but loved the flat screen TV and the Ihome- for our Ipod not to mention,the bed was comfortable.The service could use a bit of improvement.We called housekeeping and was connected to a voicemail.Might not appeal to people who are used to usual hotels. Additionally, there are a lot of places to get something to eat nearby. Overall, we had a pretty good stay.Would definitely recommend to people who like modern, trendy stuffs.

Very Stealth
For the amount I spent for the room its a great value. I only wish they had a shuttle to LAX a little earlier. I will take them up on the fly and park specials

Super Nice Hotel
The Custom Hotel was super clean, very nice and contemporary. The room was perfect and the service was top notch. We will definetly stay there again on our next trip to LA!!

Overnight layover
The shuttle didn't show up, but the hotel took care of the taxi expense and comp'd us some drinks for our inconvience. Wonderful boutique hotel. Would definitely stay again for vacation.

Custom Hotel
Being close to the airport is a plus. However, not being right at the airport allowed for more restful sleep. A "Ralph's" next door made it really convenient. However, no refrigerator in the room. The best part is the staff is super friendly & helpful. Excellent Thai restaurant a short distance.

The Custom Hotel sponsors a LMU (Loyola Marymount University) night on Tues & Thurs. Quite active & lots of friendly people. Doesn't really get going until after 10pm. There are other social events on various nights.

Fantastic trendy hotel
Really clean and trendy hotel. Even for being close to LAX, hardly no noise. Nice and clean pool and bar. Great lounge bar area close to pool and in lobby. Friendly staff, valet service. Nicely decorated rooms, cosy. Sleep-friendly beds.

While I was only there over night, it was absolutely perfect. Clean, crisp decor; excellent service at the desk; perfect location from LAX. Hip!

Perfect service, perfect room
Our room was spotless, with modern design/decor and a great layout. Small, yet incredibly roomy, light, and airy. The customer service was AMAZING. This is not an overstatement. I do not know if this is typical of Custom, but the service we received was far above anything I ever expected from ANY hotel. All of this, and a great price and location. I tried to be objective and consider pros and cons both, but I can't find any downside. There's even a supermarket RIGHT around the corner. Do be aware of the parking situation. They only have valet parking, although the rates are very reasonable for LA. You may be able to find streetside parking in the area. We didn't look, as we arrived around midnight.
