Excellent Location for Attending Long Beach Opera

Other than the fact that there was no service food or drink service at the pool, this hotel is perfect when attending the Long Beach Opera or any other cultural or business event in Downtown Long Beach.

Poor Customer Service

The location of the Hotel was great; it is within walking distance of the Aquarium and the Queen Mary. However, do to the poor customer service I will never stay at this hotel again. The housekeeping staff obviously felt that I did not know Spanish because they were talking bad about me in Spanish, right in front of me. I also asked for some extra regular coffee for my room and was told no, you can only have two. The shower/tub was very noisy and would not drain; I had water up to my ankles when I got out of my shower. The TV remote would not work all the time. When I was checking out of the hotel the clerk never asked me how my stay was. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Business

Parking a little expensive, $17.00 per day. Breakfast buffet is also expensive at $19.00 per person and not much selection of foods to choose. I will not pay to eat anykind of breakfast from this hotel again should I ever choose this hotel in the future.

not what I expect from a Westin

Good: Front Desk people. Nothing special: Restaurant food, 20 minutes to warm the shower water if before 6 am, someone's discarded tank top still behind the chair, "body lotion" with no moisturizing effect. Angering: "Business Center" computers that did not work.

for a professional conference

I like that you can choose to decline housekeeping service and for doing that you receive a $5 voucher per night to use in the hotel.

Good for business

I stayed here two nights while attending a convention at the LB convention center. Hotel was clean with a well equipped fitness center for a hotel. Everything I needed was within walking distance - coffee, food, convention center,...

Great location, excellent experience

I stayed four nights and felt more relaxed upon leaving than when I arrived, and that was after four days of meetings and trainings. The staff was great, facilities clean and well kept. My only complaint is about being charged for wi-fi when paying this kind of room rate. I will definitely stay here again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

The House of Hayden is a local bar behind the hotel. It is clean and cool. Be ready to rub elbows with with all kinds of different people, unless you don't want to... in which case it isn't the place for you.

Perfect Anniversary

Me and Hubby celebrated our fifth anniversary in Long Beach because we love the area and we stayed one night at the Westin. We got a king size bedroom overlooking the long beach performing arts center on the tenth floor for a great price and luxury! The sheets and blankets were so comfy, the decor was modern yet simple, exactly what I was looking for. We could also see the Queen Mary and the ferris wheel, it was like a Long Beach postcard. My only beef was the parking, how is it that we had to pay if we are hotel guests? Does that make any sense?? I didn't need the internet but I think they charge for that too. Employees were nice and professional. We had dinner at Beachwood BBQ it was a few blocks from the hotel. We also got tickets for the Aquarium included! I really thank the Westin for a wonderful anniversary!
