BEST WESTERN of Long Beach

The check in was a bit upsetting but we did get a early check in but had to wait 45 minutes,in lobby,when another couple walks in and the staff member allows them to check in ahead of me and I had to ask if our room was ready, then suddenly it was. ? Not good customer service.

We needed a hotel close to the convention center and this was perfect! The room was nice, beds were comfortable and quiet. Our real surprise came at checkout when the bill was $20 less than expected.

Good hotel....clean andrew convenient. We stayed for one night in the suite and it was nice and roomy. The staff was very nice.

I was in town for a wedding and was looking for reasonably priced, clean, safe lodging. I could have stayed at the high priced downtown luxury hotels, but I wanted to be near my friend's home. I saw many hotels in the area, but knew the Best Western name. The hotel was very nice, had underground parking, comfortable, quiet and had great/attentive staff. I can't think of anything else they could have done to make my stay more enjoyable.

Not bad for the price. We liked the location. Breakfast was mostly carbs except for some boiled eggs. We loved that they serve breakfast every morning. Maid service was very understanding each time we would ask them to go and clean the room at a different time because our son was napping. They have CRIBS which was excellent. Bed was comfy. Wish there was pay per view though. Room was clean and comfortable. The lights next to our bed did not always work though.

For the first time ever in a hotel -I felt unsafe and we considered switching to another hotel. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The pool is in a parking lot. The back doors to the hotel were always left open and not locked The carpets looked as though they have not been changed in many many years! It did however has a good hot shower and a shuttle to the cruise ship and was near the transit system I certainly could NOT recommend it

We stayed here overnight to leave for a cruise. We arrived around 7pm at night and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the hotel. The location is scarey and not what we're used to. The hotel, however, was nice for the money. It was clean and had only the basics...hairdryer/shower...you can see the description online. I would only stay here overnight...I wouldn't want to stay longer or hang out in this neighborhood. If you're going on a cruise, it's a good hotel and provides a shuttle.

The hotel is quiet and has secured parking, but it is *not* in a nice neighborhood. Its not really near anything you'd want to go to, and you can tell from the hotel "amenities". The iron in the room is tied to the ironing board with steel cable, so they're obviously worried that anything not nailed down will get stolen. On a more positive note, it was cheap, the room was clean, the parking was secure, and the room was reasonably quiet, so I can't complain too much. If you're passing through, or aren't looking for anything nice, this place works, but its purely functional.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were very roomy. Microwave and frig in the room. Covered, free parking.

I stayed five days and was a nice easy to get to everything downtown LB, freeways & airport. I had a no smoking room which was nice. LB transit train was right in front.
