Family-friendly, beachfront resort in near Kellogg Park
As its name suggests, the La Jolla Shores Hotel sits right on the beach in La Jolla, a suburb of San Diego. The Hacienda-style property offers guest rooms with garden, coastal or oceanfront views and private balconies or lanais. The hotel is also adjacent to Kellogg Park, a seven-acre public beachfront park, and features an outdoor heated swimming pool, in-room massage services, tennis and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Two on-site restaurants specialize in fresh seafood.

friendly, right on the beach hotel
I loved the hotel, quiet, fantastic staff, great restaurant with ocean and beach view. We could walk right out on the board walk, but it wasn't noisy. You could watch surfers while eating breakfast. The room was a little musty (old carpet) but otherwise good solid value. Nice pillows, not too hard. Big balcony.
