Family-friendly, beachfront resort in near Kellogg Park
As its name suggests, the La Jolla Shores Hotel sits right on the beach in La Jolla, a suburb of San Diego. The Hacienda-style property offers guest rooms with garden, coastal or oceanfront views and private balconies or lanais. The hotel is also adjacent to Kellogg Park, a seven-acre public beachfront park, and features an outdoor heated swimming pool, in-room massage services, tennis and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Two on-site restaurants specialize in fresh seafood.

Hotel review for La Jolla
We enjoyed swimming in the pool and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. I wish they would offer us free breakfast.

Trip to La Jolla
This hotel is awesome. With it's beach access merely a sidewalk width away, great in-house restaurants and service that just doesn't quit, this is a really great place to stay. This is our fourth stay here and we'll be back to stay the next time.

Short walk from hotel
This property is close to great Italian food, just over the hill from La Jolla downtown where everything awaits the adventurous traveler. This is just a wonderful property to stay at. Keep in mind we're fit and we love to walk. Getting over to Starbuck's in La Jolla is a walk away as is breakfast at Cody's which should not be missed.

The best secret in San Diego
I have enjoyed staying at this hotel many times. The reason I have stayed is because of the fabulous views and the beach. The decor in the rooms is dated but the location,beach, and views make up for it . The breakfast in the main dining room is very good. The bar food needs to be improved it has been better in previous years

My favorite place to stay in San Diego!
THE VIEW AND LOCATION CAN NOT BE BEAT...AND THE SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL WERE WONDERFUL. High class accommodations at reasonable prices. La Jolla Shores is the best location in San Diego...private, yet close to wherever you want to go. If I could live at the La Jolla Shores Hotel (previously called The Sea Lodge) I would never have moved from San Diego. The person checking me in did not inform me that when they ran my credit card, they put a hold on the funds for $50 a night. It is important to advise. Also, they did not advise me that the airport shuttle cost $40...I thought that it was complimentary. Small detail to improve on an otherwise impeccable place.

Jolla shores
Nice beach location but if you want to do other types of activities you have to get in the car. The in house resturant had great food and the Italian resturant one block away was very good.

Best beach location in La Jolla
Staff was great, as was the location of La Jolla Shores. Had a patio room but was upgraded to a garden view with kitchenette when we checked in. Walking distance to several nice restaurants. Older hotel that could use some updating, but was very clean. The location could not be beat. Will definitely return.

Nice location, average room
We enjoyed our stay at the La Jolla Shores. We liked the location of the hotel. The rooms were nice, but nothing special. The rooms were clean and weren't showing a lot of wear. The staff was helpful.
