Stay at the Beach
This is a very pleasant hotel with nice rooms. The staff is very accommodating and the location is terrific. It is downtown La Jolla so everything is within walking distance yet it isn't noisy.

La Jolla Cove
Perfect location, walking distance to beaches, dining, shops, Hotel is upgrading rooms. Breakfast area need some work, could be more central. Parking online was free, but was charged $12.00 per night. Parking on street free , 6pm to 10am. spaces were fairly easy to find. I would return to the Best Western By The Sea. thanks. the Best Western By The Sea. brea

Superb place to stay.
We stayed here whilst visiting family in the area. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant at all times and the room was very comfortable having recently been refurbished. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean even though work was still in progress. Breakfast was served in a room by the pool so we could eat in or outside.Food could also be taken back to the room. Although it said 'continental breakfast' it did include hot food also. We would certainly stay here again if visiting the area.

The eating establishment on the corner across the street serves fabulous food and the cakes are to die for! They are open all day/evening.

Comfortable hotel
Basic but clean ; no hot tub; expensive area; not much nightlife. Being in San Diego better for nightlife. Neighbourhood too overpriced. Hotels overpriced especially during certain high seasons

Good value hotel in La Jolla
This is my 4th time staying at this hotel - I find the location very convenient. - an easy walk to the ocean and to many restaurants and shops. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. It is very good value.

Spring Break 2013
The Best Western Plus Inn by the Sea is perfect for a small family with young children, who are looking to stay somewhere within walking distance to La Jolla's central business district as well as easy access to the beach. Once you arrive, there is no need for a car if your plans are limited to La Jolla. Also, the pool was warm enough for our kids (even at night). The best amenity is the location, but the second best is the continental breakfast every morning (eggs, cereal, yogurt, waffles, potatoes, juice, coffee, etc.). We had a great time.

Visiting relatives at La Jolla
First time at this hotel. Good location, right in the La Jolla Village. Not far from the ocean. Breakfast room (tables, counters) not cleaned, the staff from time to time only added some supplies. Orange juice came from the refrigerator frozen. Pastries not quite fresh. Interior decor (of the rooms) needs some refreshing. Lobby is OK.
