Erik and others at the hotel were great- very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay.

All three members of the staff that assisted us were more than helpful with great attitudes. Everyone had a smile on their face ([...] specifically was great). The hotel location couldn't have been better, as nothing is more than a block away (beach, restaurants, bars, shops). We really enjoyed the third floor rooftop deck and jacuzzi on a beautiful afternoon. The room was much larger than expected (actually a suite), and there were tons of amenities (bicycle checkout). We will definitely be staying here again, most likely on a regular basis.

Right across the road from the Hotel del Coronado at a fraction of the price. Short walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Great location for all ages. Good sized suite of rooms getting a bit tired looking but very clean and well-appointed. Excellent and helpful, friendly staff.

We booked this hotel with a bit of apprehension after reading other reviews, but were very pleasantly surprised with everything from the reception at check-in to the room and especially the staff. Check-in was a breeze, the room was better than anticipated with a great balcony and comfortable beds, and the staff was terrific. Everyone we encountered was friendly and cheerful, and they accommodated every request we had. The hotel is very clean, although the rooms are a bit odd in configuration. You also need to understand that they do not provide daily maid service, only clean linens twice weekly. Great location, fun stay!

This condo hotel, not a resort, overbooks! The desk clerk called a 'sister' hotel nearby to find a room for me. Then he had the temerity to ask if I minded being in one room one night and another room the next night. Shame on this management.

Very happy with the room. Basic room has almost full kitchen, living room with fire place, couch, TV and dining area, and then a separate bedroom with another tv. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in at a hotel, and even had a towel animal on it . . . something I've only seen on cruise ships. I was attending a conference at the Hotel Del Coronado, which is much more expensive so this was a great alternative and is right across the street. It does not have a pool or restaurant but I was not in need of those. They have movies and games you can check out as well as beach equipment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a number of guest activities scheduled throughout the week, grilling out, wine tasting, games, tours, etc. if you are looking for something to do. Good value!

nice, older facility very near the beach, biking, and restaurants and shopping. be sure to choose a room with windows that offer a view.

There are, at least, three basic design requirements that any hotel room needs to comply with. These are: (1) When you are in bed you want to be able to watch TV. In other words the TV sould be opposite to the back of the bed. (2) You should be able to turn the light off and on from your bed without having to get off the bed and walk to the light switch and then come back to the bed in the dark (safety issue besides the actual action of this requirement). (3) You should be able to read wheb you are in bed and have a night table beside each side of the bed. None of the above was provided in the room given to us at this hotel. We talked to the management about this situation (my wife and I are seniors people) but could not find any solution. Very disappointing and uncomfortable visit.
