great for young family
Was hesitant about distance from main gate. About 5-10 min walk through Downtown Disney. Couldn't be much closer. Still pricey but kids loved it. We were in frontierland building at back. Quiet and near pool with slides and wading pool for baby. Clean Pack n play was in closet so my son could nap right away after long day of travel. Planning our next visit already.

Great Disney Experience
If you want the full Disney experience then staying at the Disneyland hotel is the way to go. It's on the expensive side but the facility is very nice. The pool with waterslides is great. and the monorail turned out to be quite convenient. We had blast.

Disneyland Hotel
The hotel is certainly close to everything Disney and the staff is beyond wonderful...they are about as polite as you wish your children were. The property is very nice, but with the exception of a couple of extra pieces of flair the room itself is rather average and the bed was not all that comfortable either.

Birthday Weekend @ the Disney Hotel
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Disney Hotel. This secluded place "Disneyland" was a great fairyland experience for my children and I. I would have preferred if they offered my daughter "magical" freebies like... a hat, meals and a free ticket to the park. I mean everything else is freakishly overpriced a simple hat, theme park ticket and a free meal would not break the Disneyland brand what so ever.

pricey, but fun
as usual with anything connected to Disney, the hotel is pricey, other than that it was wonderful. The room was beautiful, the location was great, though you could hear the muscians from Downtown Disney as we were in Adventureland Tower facing Downtown Disney. However, you could not hear other guests or anything other than the bands. It's definitely something to do at least once.

Earl of Sandwich is just outside the hotel and probably about the cheapest food in Disney.

Fun family vacation
Very nice hotel. Great for children. I expected everything to be a little bit nicer/luxurious for the price. Approx $500 a night!! So expensive! One night st this hotel is similar to one night at a Four Seasons beach resort, which is so much nicer! A great experience for my son, but still having trouble with the cost.

Take advantage of the early morning entry offered while staying at the resort. Possibly the best part of staying st one of the Disneyland Hotels is getting into to the park one hour early.
