Desert Palms Hotel and Suites

we checked in and was told we were in the quiet area. all was going fine until about 10:30 at night then the noise would start sounded like they were coming through the ceiling called front desk they said they would call and that they were strict on after 10:00 noise controlafter the 2nd night started again called they called the room above we were told they had bunk beds above us and the children were jumping off beds said we could change rooms but had to do now this is 11:00 at night we did but with no compensation and this was quite a job with two kids that were sleeping. I was a little disappointed in the hotel we have stayed there before.

Great location for the Anaheim Convention Center, just a 5 minute walk, Disneyland about 15 minutes or $4 bus, back in 2013

Hotel was nice and clean, hallways had a smell to them but the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was the same every morning, they could change it up a little. this hotel did not offer free shuttle service to the park you had to buy a pass. The park was within walking distance, but after a long day the shuttle would have be very nice.

I picked this hotel because we got a good deal on [...]and I didn't want to have to pay for parking at Disneyland for 3 days. When we arrived at the hotel there was quite a bit of parking since it was a Thursday we had no problem checking in and receiving our Disneyland tickets. The room was okay it wasn't the best room I have ever stayed in and not the worst either. We were able to walk to Disneyland and I loved that we were able to come back to the room if we needed for lunch and what not. We explored the restaurants around the park since we did not want to spend a ton of money eating inside and what a mistake that was! The Chinese place across the street was horrible! It looked like it was a month old and was just sitting there and dry. My Boyfriend was sick all night. I decided to go to the pizza place next door cause there was quite a few people in there and it was also a waste of money! Clearly, the people were just there for the beer. Either go with subway or get in the car and go down the street to BK. Also, save money D-Land lets you take food into the park I was so pleased! Overall, we will be staying again unless the prices go up then I will have to reconsider.

A week prior I sent an email asking for a quiet room and for information about walking distance to Disneyland. I got a quick reply. Upon arrival we found out that they had not reserved a quiet room for us and we were put in a noisy and ugly room that overlooked the boiler and a cement wall. The next morning I asked to be moved and they accommodated us quickly. The front desk staff was courteous and quick to help. The breakfast was average but they had amazing waffles. We bought our own Peanut butter as it was not offered and the syrup was watered down. Busy times were around 9am but if you got in early there was not a big wait. The only fruit option was oranges. The pool was more or less clean but very crowded at times. It is much smaller than it looks in the pictures online ( in fact, those images are very 'creatively' captured). The hotel is very central to restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the Garden Walk and 10 to the Disneyland/California Adventureland/Downtown Disney entrance. I had an 11 and 13 yr old and they had no problem walking it even after a long day at the parks. There is a 7/11 right beside the hotel and ABCMart that had cheap t-shirts and souvenirs from Disney plus snacks. We bought water there but then realized that the parks have water fountains so if you bring a water bottle you can refill it instead of carrying lots of water with you. Overall I thought the hotel was fine ( not 5 star but clean and friendly and great price) and location was excellent. I would stay here again!
