Good location

My friend and I just wanted a clean room to sleep and shower in and within walking distance of Disneyland. We honestly weren't expecting too much after reading the reviews other people posted but we were satisfied. It was about a 10 minute walk to Disneyland and there is a 7eleven located on the corner which was great. We loved the shower pressure. Nice HOT showers after spending all day at Disneyland felt perfect. Yeah, there was some mildewy looking stuff on the shower head but I just ignored it. The tub was clean (we brought clorox wipes and they had no residue after wiping down the tub) There was a small fridge and microwave which was nice. My only complaints are that we wished the door had a double lock, and that they would get rid of that thin blue blanket. We made sure not to let it touch our faces, arms, or feet... you get the point. The man at the front desk seemed a bit unfriendly at first but he was very helpful and allowed for us to leave our bags behind the counter for several hours both times when we arrived too early for check in and while we waited for our shuttle to arrive to go back to the airport. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Disneyland and we would probably stay at Alpine Inn again in the future!

Not a 4-star hotel

Hotel was ok. It was not a 4-star hotel and the price is higher then its worth. Parking was not good. Also, the breakfast was not a continental breakfast. However , the crew were over all helpful and nice.

Excellent value!

Surprisingly well appointed with everything you need including a fridge and microwave. Great location in the center of everything. I was there on business and it more than served my needs. Would return again if on a family or business trip. Great value and a great experience!

Close to the Park!

This hotel was very close to Disneyland and offered free parking and free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn't working the first day, but they got it up and running within a few hours. The room was clean when we arrived and we were able to check in a little bit early. The bathroom could have been a little nicer, however the room did have nice amenities: there was a fridge, a microwave, a hair dryer, and a TV. Lastly the proximity to Disneyland was great because we were able to come back to the room and rest; with it being so close, however, you could hear the attractions (Radiator Spring Racers). Which, if you love Disneyland isn't a big deal.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Walmart, Target, and Costco are only a short drive away so if you are trying to save money on snacks and anything you may have forgotten, head there.

family vacation

A great basic hotel w/wonderful staff members, but this is definitely NOT a four star hotel as advertised. This is a basic Motel 6 establishment, not a hotel. When we were told we'd have a four star hotel, we were expecting something like other four star hotels where we've stayed. It advertises free breakfast, but it's only coffee, orange juice and packaged donuts. If you want a two star hotel in a good location with an awesome staff, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Adequate, Average.

We chose this motel based on its proximity to the theme parks (it backs right onto them and is a 15 minute walk from the gates), and because we knew we would only be sleeping there. It's just a very basic motel, similar to a Motel 6, and aside from the convenient location, is very much average. But that was good enough for us.

a day at disneyland

We arrived around 9:30 pm, check-in was fast with free parking. Room was ready, good size with two comfortable queen beds, clean sheets. The bathroom was clean, average in size with clean towels. A separate sink outside of bathroom which was good and useful. Have own microwave oven and small ref in room, with regular size television. The air-conditioning worked very well (very cold).checked-out was fast too. Overall, our stay for two nights were comfortable. Would come back in the future, if ever in the area.

Economic Comfort

Great value within a mile walking distance to Disneyland gate. Beds were comfortable and sheets were always clean. My only complaint was that it was loud at all nights. The hotel is set up like an amphitheater and the noise in the parking lot is loud. One night there were kids hanging out and skateboarding in the parking lot at 11pm for almost an hour. Couldn't sleep because of the noise.

Terrific Value, Nostalgic with Modern amenities

My husband tells me that there used to be countless little independently owned motels like this one in the Disneyland area. This may be the last one. It is cute on the outside, solid and comfortable on the inside. The pool is clean, as are the rooms. The beds are comfortable, everything works. It is a 10-15 minute walk to DL. The breakfast is more like snacks and drinks - be prepared to eat out or hit a supermarket (there are places to eat nearby). We spent a day at DL, of course; spendy! We spent another day at a beach in Laguna, enjoyed the ocean and the little shops along the road. We ate a lot of Mexican food, especially seafood, very yum. A gem for the price.
