Family Trip on a Budget
You get what you paid for. Parking lot was full or limited spots when arriving late. Room/bed is old and furnishing needs update. Close to Disneyland park, restaurants and other stores. We spent most of our time at Disneyland and the condition was not that bad that the condition of the room was a problem. Microwave and fridge is a plus especially traveling with kids.

Great location!
I stayed here for business and could easily walk to the convention center as well as many restaurants - The staff was excellent. The room was okay for the price. I enjoyed the free WIFI and parking and that is a huge plus!

Really great price for location
Ok, so I booked this place based on price and walking distance to Disney. I read the reviews but, didn't give them much thought because everybody seems really negative on reviews. So...after I booked, I read more and started to get really nervous when people started talking about bugs and black hairs and how awful it was. I have this crazy fear of cockroaches. :/ So, we pull up and it's a decent looking place from outside, average at best. Got a room on the bottom, window literally a couple feet from the traffic and sidewalk. Who cares? WE go there to hit Disney not lounge around in a four star hotel! Room didn't have a privacy lock that worked, but nobody could get in without a key so big deal. Room was clean, could defiantely use some upgrades, all cosmetic. I searched thourghly for the dreaded bugs and black hair finding nothing. When my daughter screached from the bathroom there was a bug. A spider... again big deal. Did manage to find the stray black hair clinging to the shower curtain, though...lol. Shower worked, tub was in need of replacement, but we got clean! Beds were comfy, curtains didn't shut all the way, but we wanted to get up early anyway. Biggest complaint was the plugs. Nothing held in. Couldn't charge any phones or ipods without bending the prongs. Not a big complaint for the price though. I'll definately book again, it was about a 10 mintue walk through the back way to Downtown Disney. Cheapest place I've found within walking distance. If you are looking for a CHEAP place to just rest your head and crash after a long day at Disney and don't care about extra's this is your place. Though next time I will bring an extension outlet to plug in all our devices.

Okay if you're not fussy
The motel is really a no frills establishment. The rooms show some wear and tear to say the least but no one goes to Disneyland to stay in the room. So use your own judgement.

Totally not worth even the cheapest rates
I figured the cheapest hotel for our trip to Disneyland would be fine, since we would spend most of our time at the park anyway. Not so. The refrigerator froze the milk (even after my husband adjusted the thermostat), they were doing construction (sign said 8-5, they started at 7am...and worked on Saturday too), the "wifi" you could barely connect to, then still didn't download my email (basically a joke), the ice machines weren't working, the soda machine was out of order, the paint was peeling in the room, the carpet was coming up, and the room smelled funky. I will not ever stay here again...ever.

ghetto
Killing cockroaches made up for lack of TV channels that were available for entertainment, the roof leaked, through the ceiling of course, the sink was plumbed backwards (hot was on the right), the shower temp adjustment was a real challenge and never reached 'hot', the microwave burned a hole through a bag of microwave popcorn without popping most of the kernels, there was no vent fan in the bathroom and the window didn't have a screen. I've stayed in more undesirable accommodations but not in this country.

Try to find someplace else
Hotel was very old and not very clean. The towels were full of hair and the bathroom showed signs of deteriorating. The room itself was decent with fridge, microwave, and patio, but was also showing age. We asked the front desk if we could buy a razor, and they told us they only give out razors when guests forget them. (Gross) What I will give them is the parking was great, the location is right off Katella by where you enter the resort parking garage, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. For what we paid it wasn't worth it, but if you can get it cheap I guess it would be ok.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Don't go to restaurants on Harbor close to Disneyland, instead drive down the road from hotel on Katella, there is an Arbys and McDonalds that are much cheaper than what you will find in the resort area, and will only take you a couple blocks from the resort.

Decent place to stay
This was our first time staying at the Alamo. If you want coffee in your room don't stay here. Was very disappointed that there was not a coffee maker in the room. Other than that the room was very nice with a refrigerator and microwave. The whole place could use some minor cosmetic overhauling and parking is very limited. Decent proximity to Disneyland, so walking wasn't too bad to get to the park. Over all a decent place to stay for the money we spent.

Entertainment tip:

Downtown Disney has lots of entertainment to offer if you are not wanting to drive anywhere. However it is very crowded after dark.

Walk to Disney & Convention Center
Really appreciated the free parking and location which is within walking distance to the Convention Center and Disney parks. However, this property is in dire need of repair and cleaning. If all you need is a place to crash after a day out, it was quiet. A refrigerator and microwave were in our room, which was a plus, however no coffee maker. If you need a cheap place to stay and don't mind the tired, worn furnishings and stained carpet, this is the place.
