A Real Gem
What a find at the foot of the foothills in Tucson. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette, living room and bedroom. The beds are very comfy, and everything is spotless My only beef is that the amenities are itsy bitsy - the bar of soap hardly lasted the night I spent at the hotel. The pool area is very nice with comfortable lounge chairs and towels. You can't beat the price. While not a delux resort, it is incredibly clean, well-situated, quiet and a bargain for the price.

VERY PLEASED
Our accomodations were quiet, comfortable, very clean and the staff was responsive to any needs. The location is in a beautiful plaza with great restrauants and shops plus easy accessibility to anywhere you would like to go. There is a river run path right by the suites both for biking or running. Also the pool and hot tub were great. and breakfast very complete!! we went to Tombstone which we found to be well worth the miles but heard that thebank robbery and gunshot shows are not that great or the history feature. But the Bird Cage is amazing!!! Also the hiking in the mtns is magnificent--just take water.

Great place to stay
We loved the Windmill Inn. Rooms were very nice and spacious. The afternoon cookies were excellent. They have bikes for use and the hotel is located right next to a great bike path. There are fabulous restaurants right across the parking lot. Only criticism would be that the breakfast buffet is very average, but it's okay. The location is perfect if you are looking to take advantage of Tucson's outdoor wonders. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Eat at both the Union Pub (especially for happy hour) and Vivace's. Both restaurants excellent.

Comfortable Friendly Spacious
I was completely satisfied with my stay. The location close to the mountains was ideal as was the fact of the walking path by the river wash being right there. We were there for Saturday market in the very same plaza. We ate at Vivace, an excellent restaurant a hundred feet from the hotel and Liv a coffee shop also on the plaza. The outdoor pool was warm and the hot tub clean. We hiked in Sabino Canyon, toured the desert museum, went to the fabulous Gaslight Theater and toured Biosphere 2. These were all really worthwhile. The rooms are SPACIOUS and comfortable and the staff are obviously interested in pleasing the guests.

A real suite but closed-in feeling
With only 2 windows the place felt closed-in to me. I asked for a Kitchen Kit (plates, flatware etc) and was told it would be sent up - it was never delivered. I was too busy to repeat the request. The MATTRESS AND PILLOWS were about the BEST I have ever had at a hotel. I slept great and mostly on my back, even the 1st night. Loved the bed!

Short walk from hotel
It looks like there are a couple restaurants in the complex but I was not around when they were open. There is a Trader Joe's across the street. Room service is via some kind of nation-wide catering service that serves smaller hotels that cannot provide their own (I did not try it but the menu looked pretty good).
