Nice option during the off-season.
We came as a couple. Booked during Feburary which is generally the off-season for spas and resorts. Checked in late without any trouble. Upgraded our room to include a personal outdoor spa tub (aka Stargazer spa). Definitely was a good move because we used it a lot. Strange however as we lost 250 square feet by taking this option. The charge was an extra $50/night. We had to get maintainence out both nights we used it to re-set the burners/heater as the water was not warming up. The resort is pretty old looking, and is definitely due for renovations. The rooms are decent, but not great. The lighting in the bathroom is bad and the carpet needs to go! The Sonoran Spa is below average in my opinion. We had their signature massages and facials. The massages were not very good, but the facials were fine. The gym and tennis courts are good. In our opinion, the best thing about the resort in the GOLD restaurant. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Definitely the highlight but you don't need to stay here to dine there. Overall I would recommend the Westward Look resort if you can get a great deal, but I do not think it is worth the money they normally charge during the busy season nor would I recommend their Sonoran spa. Even if you don't stay here, make an effort to eat at GOLD. Excellent restaurant. Hope this helps.

Dissappointed cancellation
We unfortunately were not able to make our trip. This was because US Airways cancelled the first flight and then the second flight that were we rebooked on. They could only get us out to Arizona after the wedding we were going to on 1/02/2010. The staff were very understanding and in fact agreed to give us a full refund.

A rare getaway
In town for Christmas shopping. Would have like to had more time to explore the area of the resort, like hike the trails and tried some of the other activities at the resort. Don't know if the hotel offered a Sunday brunch at the resturants on site. Only down fall is that they don't mention the cost for having a pet, even though it is a pet friendly resort. That was kind of the biggest surprise. But it is one of the most enjoyable stays that I've had for the quality they offer. Not use to being spoiled by such an enviornment. The bed the most comfortable ever, didn't ever want to get out of bed. The shower was beautiful. Like to go back someday soon.

Nice hotel but a little old
Nice staff. Our room was updated and nice. New flat screens but not HD or that clear. Nice sunset cocktail hour with music. Compared to newer 4* properties, this is just a bit older but still worth the money

Beautiful resort hotel
Top-quality resort hotel in great location. Christmas festivities for all. Gold restaurant serves first-class dining for BL&D. Enjoyed the property, conveniences, short hikes, horse-back riding, pool, etc. Also enjoyed Madera Canyon hiking and Tubac's Christmas shops.
