Staff & accommodations

We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed a additional night. Perfect location for us. Great golfing, shopping and relaxation. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Will stay there again. They were in the process of remodeling the rooms, but did not bother our stay.

Disappointed

When we walked into our room you can smell the mustiness . We did think the room had ambience and had a nice view. Not enough outlets and the shower was not great. I understand the Casitas are much nicer. Staff were very nice.

Great breakfasts!

Very nice - good location - beautiful views from balcony. Baths are very small - rooms could be up-dated a bit. Loved the breakfasts!

Not working-Aircon & Not working-staff

The aircon is so noisy when I get in the room at 9pm , so I turned it off. After a while, I tried to turn it on, but it didn't work. I called front office for help. BUT no help because handy man's not available at that time. They gave me an option, which is Transffering to Hampton. Kidding? At 10 pm? Thankfully there was a ceiling fan, so I decided to stay. Other than this, very good. One more thing to say.. the breakfast was So So..

Solo Traveler seeking rest and Tucson sights

Upon first seeing the Posada Lodge my first impression was an Oasis in the Desert! The appearance of the Posada from the front was appealing and welcoming. Check in went very smoothly and John at the front desk even allowed me to check in early. My reservation was for one of the Casitas and was very pleased with the layout and the furnishings. The semi private back patio and lawn area was nice. I enjoyed watching the bunnies while I had my morning coffee! The grounds around the courtyard were beautifully done and the palm trees were a welcoming sight coming from the Mountains of Colorado. The free buffet breakfast was great and the selection of food was beyond my expectations. I really liked the location of the Posada as it was centrally located to all the major attractions that the Tucson area has to offer. The Biosphere2 is a must see as was the Desert Museum and Saguaro Nat. Park. Catalina State Park, Sabino Canyon and Mt Lemon were also great for day trips with beautiful scenery. My stay at the Posada Lodge and Casitas was a wonderful and relaxing experience and ranks as one of the best vacations I have taken in many years. One last comment I forgot to mention was the Pool which I used numerous times everyday was wonderful. I definitely would stay at the Posada when I visit Tucson again.

Charming place

This is a beautiful place to stay. Lots of adobe and tile. The rooms are beautiful. The only downsides for us were (1) the pool was closed the day we were there. Something wrong with th chlorine level. (2)The light stayed on on the porch/balcony, a place that could have been very nice to sit at night and have a drink. Also had a very good breakfast selection.

Wow, what a deal

The hotel is clean and long on charm and character. It's far from your usual plain Jane lodging. The room was very spacious and had a view overlooking Tucson and with a view of nearby mountains. Our rate was just $59 ($66 with tax), including breakfast, a super value given the character, cleanliness and style of this place. The bar offers 100 types of tequila -- but my only complaint: the bar closes at 10 pm, though there were still people in the bar at 11:30 the night I arrived. Anyway, I recommend this place and will be back.
