A most pleasant night.
We were so worn out from multiple doctor visits during the week that we just needed to go someplace...

Sedona Summit
Within a minute of our check-in, we were herded over to a "concierge" (SALESWOMAN) who tried to sell us on an informational meeting and just didn't seem to understand the NO's. We went to our room, which was a studio and very clean but with limited kitchen supplies and bathroom amenities and had no daily maid service. This property is far from the business/restaurant area of Sedona and you cannot walk to any restaurants. If you want to drive for all your meals and shopping, then this is the place! Not impressed.

The most interesting man
Website was deceiving
We chose this hotel because the website was showing a beautiful view of the Sedona Mountains. When we got there we were overwhelmed with Sales and Management trying to sell us a time share. We said no but they would not let up. When we got to our room it was a small studio with a kitchen with a tiny patio view overlooking a concrete parking lot. No lounge, no restaurants nearby, Not located near many ammenities and no view what-so-ever. This was clean if you are just looking for a room with no view and you don't mind being hassled to buy a timeshare.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Make sure you look at a map before you book to make sure you are near the area you want to be. No fun driving back and forth when there are nicer hotels where you want to be.

relaxing refuge
this is a quiet, out of the way resort right near Sedona's downtown, a quick drive to restaurants and spas, etc. really enjoyed it. the one thing is they will try to sell you on their timeshares. not a big deal though. nice pools and great room.

Unhappy Travel Agent
appalling customer service
We were at the Sedona Summit for a family wedding. When we tried to check in (after check in time) we were told the hotel was oversold and they were sending us elsewhere that was quite a long drive and did not work for us with the bride staying at their resort and already checked in. We found that they oversell and bump people to another hotel on a continuing basis. For that reason alone, I would not choose this resort. They eventually got us a room and not until after 10pm was it ready for us. I find this to be appalling customer service.

Fun for the Family
We picked Sedona Summit because it was close to our family but didn't know it was a "time-share" type of hotel. The people were very nice and didn't force a tour on us. There were at least 5 swimming pools and lots of activities for everyone in the family. We would stay there again and plan time to enjoy the amenities.

Great Getaway
Hotel lobby was under renovation during our stay. However the staff was very friendly and the renovations did not affect us at all. Beautiful area! Great room, very clean and homey. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

wedding fiasco
Don't stay at the summit!
We were in town for our daughter's wedding. When we arrived the summit wanted to have us go to another resort--after we had planned everything to be right together! They made us wait for two hours at check-in to tell us they didn't have anything for us! We had to go to the rehearsal dinner in our traveling clothing. At dinner they called and said they had opened up a room that was being refurbished. When we got there at 9:30 p.m. the room was not made up at all. This was a very frustrating experience for all of us.

Got off to bad start...
If you are booking at this resort, please be aware up front that this is a time share property. The check-in process is very regimented and down right rude. The resort stated due to our "status" (apparently since we weren't owners we were low class) they had to put a $250 hold on our credit card, followed by being shuffled into another room full of desks with more staff attempting to force you into a time share presentation. They are very aggressive and were not up front about the agenda. Worst experience of checking in ever...would not recommend staying here unless you have time to burn (waste).
