One of the best places to stay in Sedona AZ.

We have been to the Sedona Summit several times, usually as the guest of a timeshare member. With experience now I know what I want. The one-bedroom gives you a small stacked washer & dryer. The studio does not. If it is possible, and not a busy time of year, such as summer vacations you can get a good view. Usually they have a room chosen for you. They have units that are newer construction.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

It is difficult to take every thing in. So, we pick a hike and a short shopping time. Each trip to Sedona we try to do something different, such as a jeep ride.

R&R getaway

The location, our room, the view was great, it could have been perfect if the internet service that we had to pay extra for would have worked for us. We planned on a movie night and that wasn't possible. Other than that, I would return again, staff was very friendly.

Accessibility - Bed Size - Service

The room was ground floor - no stairs, however inside the room was not handicap accessible. Would have liked a king rather than queen bed. Room only serviced once during the week stay and that included only new towels and dumping trash.

Great Stay

We stayed at Sedona Summit for three nights. This was a family vacation. The place was very clean. We stayed in a studio. The room was a little small for four of us. I wish we could stay in a little bigger room. There was a full kitchen, and a large bathroom. There were four swimming pools, one was adult only, and the others were for family. There was a game room, gym, and laundry mat. The location was about 5mins from uptown. We really enjoyed visiting Sedona.

Beautiful grounds...for a timeshare

The facilities were gorgeous although we thought this was a hotel (as advertised). It's a timeshare property and as soon as we checked in we kind of got the "hard sell" known to many timeshare properties. That was a bit of a turn off since we thought we were at a hotel. Be prepared to either book a vacation with them in the future or have a good defense scheme planned.

Sedona Summit

Within a minute of our check-in, we were herded over to a "concierge" (SALESWOMAN) who tried to sell us on an informational meeting and just didn't seem to understand the NO's. We went to our room, which was a studio and very clean but with limited kitchen supplies and bathroom amenities and had no daily maid service. This property is far from the business/restaurant area of Sedona and you cannot walk to any restaurants. If you want to drive for all your meals and shopping, then this is the place! Not impressed.

Website was deceiving

We chose this hotel because the website was showing a beautiful view of the Sedona Mountains. When we got there we were overwhelmed with Sales and Management trying to sell us a time share. We said no but they would not let up. When we got to our room it was a small studio with a kitchen with a tiny patio view overlooking a concrete parking lot. No lounge, no restaurants nearby, Not located near many ammenities and no view what-so-ever. This was clean if you are just looking for a room with no view and you don't mind being hassled to buy a timeshare.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Make sure you look at a map before you book to make sure you are near the area you want to be. No fun driving back and forth when there are nicer hotels where you want to be.

relaxing refuge

this is a quiet, out of the way resort right near Sedona's downtown, a quick drive to restaurants and spas, etc. really enjoyed it. the one thing is they will try to sell you on their timeshares. not a big deal though. nice pools and great room.

appalling customer service

We were at the Sedona Summit for a family wedding. When we tried to check in (after check in time) we were told the hotel was oversold and they were sending us elsewhere that was quite a long drive and did not work for us with the bride staying at their resort and already checked in. We found that they oversell and bump people to another hotel on a continuing basis. For that reason alone, I would not choose this resort. They eventually got us a room and not until after 10pm was it ready for us. I find this to be appalling customer service.

Fun for the Family

We picked Sedona Summit because it was close to our family but didn't know it was a "time-share" type of hotel. The people were very nice and didn't force a tour on us. There were at least 5 swimming pools and lots of activities for everyone in the family. We would stay there again and plan time to enjoy the amenities.
