Sedona Real Inn
Traveled with close friends to Sedona hoping to go on a Hot Air Balloon ride, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. So on to plan B a Pink Jeep Ride. Loved it! Everyone in our group enjoyed the ride. The hotel was just OK.

Sedona Real Inn
My room was right next to highway 89A. The traffic was non stop. I did not get very much sleep the entire time I was there. Also my room was on the second floor and there was no elevator access.

Sedona is nice.
Beautiful setting and good location. The breakfast was well above average for a continental breakfast with plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room temp could not be adjusted lower than 76 degrees F. I would have liked it cooler but it was not too bad. The refrigerator control knob was busted and I could not set it cooler. It was a bit on the warm side for my beer. I did not mention either items to the staff.

Don't try to go to Red Rock Crossing on a busy day unless you plan ahead with a picnic lunch prepared ahead of time and arrive by mid morning. We tried to get there at 12pm and we were turned away as all parking was taken and told to maybe come back in an hour.

Very nice accomodations!
The room was wonderful and very comfortable and quiet. The location is beautiful. There is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant (D'lish) right across the street. Their wraps were excellent as was their Tomatillo & Watermelon Gazpacho! The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a very nice facility!

Overall good experience, will go again
My wife and I drove up from Phoenix on a Friday after work for a one night getaway. After reading others reviews I went with Sedona Real for the apparent value: high rating and low price (one night for $150). Immediately we were pleasantly surprised, clean room and well maintained and clean bathroom and shower, small flatscreen TV with cable channels like Food Network, etc. The TV was not in HD though; it was a standard cable connection, so the image was slightly stretched to fit the widescreen, but this was easy to overlook even though I'm used to HD. The staff was very friendly and considerate. There was a large wedding party in for the weekend so they made sure to put the rest of us far away from them on the other side of the property. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was because it had a water softener installed. While some people might find this a plus, my wife and I were not used to this, and it is very hard to get soap off of your skin with softened water. We felt oily and miserable that night and the next morning. Read details about this here: http://chemistry.about.com/od/howthingsworkfaqs/a/softwaterrinse.htm. I would have though this minor since I've never used softened water but it was super annoying. Those who are used to softened water will be right at home here, I'm sure. Also, the mattress felt very firm at first, but was comfortable to sleep in. It's one of those sponge type beds that you see people jump on with a glass of red wine on it, but a little firmer. Easy to get out and in to bed without disturbing your partner. Last thing is that we were woken up at first by doors slamming and activity in rooms around us. Though I wouldn't go so far as to say the walls were thin, loud noises by inconsiderate neighbors do carry. We put in earplugs ans slept relatively peacefully the rest of the night.

Sedona vacation
Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very helpful. Only if they recommend eating at the Red Planet-don't bother it was awful-got sick! We got our room up-graded with a great view and while the location was at the other end of town it was quiet-other than the air conditioner which was very loud.

Avoid the Red Planet-it was terrible but the Barking Frog was good but expensive. The food was not much to brag about unless you went to the more expensive establishments.

Buildings one and two are on 89A and are noisy. Staff is great and the conceirge service is a tremendous plus. Complimentary breakfast could use some improvement.Use of the internet without renting a laptop would be welcome.

Cucina Rustica in Oak Creek. Heartline Cafe in west Sedona. STAY AWAY from Savanah (what a ripoff). Cowboy Cafe has the best prickly pear margarita in town.
