A graceful recovery

We stayed at this resort hotel for two non-consecutive nights. The first night, our check-in was very smooth. The hotel was undergoing significant renovation which should greatly improve the property. Our first night room was a cramped, lower level motel-style room with two queen-sized beds and a faint smell that made the room feel all the more cramped and furnishings that were nearly as good as a really good hotel's. Groups of business people who were obviously there for a company junket kept my wife up all night partying by the pool which was just outside the door. The second night was a one hundred and eighty degree turnaround. When we complained at check-in about our first night, we were upgraded without any further ado to a second floor condo-style one bedroom with very serviceable kitchen. It was spacious, somewhat dated, but very comfortable, and we took full advantage of its facilities. The resort is well located near the Scottsdale Princess just off the 101 Loop at the Scottsdale Road exit. Things will and do go wrong. It's how the staff recovers and what they do about it that counts. In this case, they rate a 10 out of 10.

Nice Getaway

We liked the Resort's location and amentiies. Immediate Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, except when the forgot to clean our room one day comletely. The Restaurant's breakfast was nice. Bar service could have been a little better. Different people working throughout our stay charging different prices for same cocktails and not knowing how to prepare one of their signiture cocktail. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would definetely recommend it to our friends and also would consider coming back a second time.

Dining and shopping were only a 5 to 10 Minute drive away. Anything from great Sushi, to Steak, to Italian food with nice service and selections. Fashion Mall Square is a great shopping mall and is only 15 Minutes from the Resort. Nightlife and dining in Old Town Scottsdale was a true great experience with only a drive of 20 Minutes.

GREAT POOLS!!

Resort Suites of Scottsdale. This was my first visit to Arizona and I loved it and the hotel. I asked for a view of the pool and my room ended up steps away from my front door at the adult pool. I couldn't have asked for a better location!!! The check in gal was GREAT! She totally accommodated my requests. The housekeeping was good BUT they were trying to conserve energy, etc. so you can leave the tag saying to just make up the bed or change the sheets and the same on the towels. I was just having the bed re-made every day and using the same towels for a few days all in the name of conservation. But upon discovering that my two cake plates and two coffee cups with a knife were being washed in the dishwasher I went to the front office and inquired about the energy saving of this being done. Not to mention the water waste. I was told that it was their policy to do this. And it just didn't make sense to me. I can see for sanitary sake to do this at the last day of my hotel stay, and take a minute and wash them by hand. I did obtain a cloth and some dishwashing detergent so I could then wash them myself. Other than that the cleaniness was very good and the maids did a good job. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful. I would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND this hotel and would go back and stay again.

Family friendly

Our suite worked out well for my husband and I and our 15 month old daughter. Staff was friendly. They provided a crib on a timely basis and no extra charge. Bathroom quite small, but overall accomodation was just fine. Housekeeping needs to pay attention to whether dishwasher has been run or not when they empty it (emptied it once when the dishes were still dirty!). Dish rags and dish soap should be kept in unit as a standard.

very nice hotel for family to stay in

Over all, the stay at the Resort Suites of Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Arizona was very nice. The only thing in my oponion is to work in the menu of its restaurant, since it does not have to much varities, but this was not problem to me since the hotel shuttel service was very good and through that to access the close by retaurants was not too difficult.

Great Getaway

The hotel was out of the way. You could hear the wildlife and seen many animals over in the desert. I enjoyed the stay at the motel. It was quite. My only complaint would be the noise from the cleaning staff. But nothing they could control, I think they did a very good job.
